Dog Snubs Everyone After Owner Dies. But Everything Changed When He Met This Man

Rio is a golden retriever who became incredibly sad when his owner died. It was difficult for him to be alone and then taken to live with strangers. When he finally found a new owner offering unconditional love, Rio's life changed forever and he was happy again. 

A dog is faithful and the best friend of their owner. Their love is unconditional. A golden retriever has been referred to as the saddest dog in Detroit since the death of his owner. His name is Rio and his picture has been seen online. There was nobody to take care of Rio so he was taken to the Detroit Animal Care and Control.

It did not take long for everyone to realize there was something wrong.

Rio became depressed when he was forced to leave his home to go live with strangers. He would not interact with the workers at the shelter and stopped eating. He would not even look in anyone's eyes. He spent the majority of his days sitting in the corner with a sad face. He was mourning his owner and the workers finally asked Detroit Dog Rescue for assistance. 

Rio went to the Detroit Dog Rescue Center but he did not improve. He appeared to have given up on the world. The rescue workers did not know what to do to help take away Rio's pain.

You probably realize dogs are incredibly intuitive and sensitive to what is happening in their lives. Millman-Rinaldi realized Rio needed to be loved again in a new home. It did not take the DDR long to find him one.

One of the volunteers at the DDR was Ryan Callahan. He decided he would give Rio the help he desperately needed and wanted to adopt him. He already had a foster dog and two dogs for his family. Ryan posted about the time Rio spent with the family. He spoke of the room they gave Rio in this home office so he would feel warm and comfortable.

The constant love began to make a positive difference. 

Rio began lying down next to Ryan and was soon in his lap. The picture the two made together was heartwarming. What Rio needed was to be included in someone's life again. The hope is Rio will forget his grief and become the happy dog he used to be.
