In 2017, Lena Preslar sang Kelly Mooney's version of Hallelujah, also known as the Easter version of the song. Despite her age, Lena is already establishing quite a following in the gospel music world with her talent.
Written in 1984, Hallelujah took a few years to emerge as a classic. Bob Dylan was one of the first to realize its brilliance, playing it at a couple of shows in 1988. The Velvet Underground’s John Cale tackled it on the piano for a 1991 Leonard Cohen tribute disc, and three years later, Jeff Buckley took inspiration from that rendition and covered it on his 1994 album, Grace.
It was Buckley's version that eventually created a huge cult around the song, and it’s since been covered by everybody from Bono to Bon Jovi. It’s Leonard Cohen’s most famous composition by a landslide, even though many people aren't aware that he wrote it.

Mooney's version follows the exact same melody from the original. The difference is in the lyrics of the verses. Mooney's version falls into the gospel genre while the original is meant to be more secular/pop.
