A couple's love story is punctuated by an incredible fact—they are the world's smallest married couple according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Their long-lasting love story proves that big things can come in small packages.
Meet Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros, a civil servant, and Katyucia Lie Hoshino, a beauty salon owner, both from Brazil. This couple's combined height is 71.42 and according to Guinness, that made them the holders of the world's smallest married couple after getting hitched in September 2016. But it was ten years earlier in 2006 when their love story really started.

The two lovebirds first met over a social media site but it was a rocky start to the relationship. At first, Katyucia wasn't going for Paulo's pick-up lines and blocked him on the site but eventually, they began chatting again before meeting in-person in 2008.
For about four years they had a long-distance relationship but made it work between their towns of Londrina and Itapeva. Katyucia moved to Paulo's town of Itapeva and realized they were made for each other.
Paulo then popped the question in a sushi restaurant in front of their friends. He had put together a sweet speech for his bride-to-be:
"As everyone knows, we've been together for eight years, between living together and dating," he said, according to the Daily Mail. "And we haven't gotten married yet. And since you are friends that have accompanied our journey for a long time I wanted to share this with you and ask her to marry me."
Katyucia dragged out her answer and even jokingly asked if her sweetheart had a fever before answering with an enthusiastic yes. Now, the fun-loving and active couple are still going strong with an active social media presence on Instagram.
It's an incredible story of love and resilience for this bride and groom. Won't you send this love story on to others who want to share the joy they experience?
