A baby is a true miracle and every parent knows this. Conceiving all the way to birth is somewhat of an unpredictable process. When the birth happens, you know that you truly have no control over the matter.
High-risk pregnancies and older moms consider a baby a spectacular miracle and that's just for the "average" older mom. A mom from Haryana, India lets us in on her story of how difficult things have become.
Daljinder Kaur longed for a baby. In fact, she longed for a baby for over 45 years. Kaur and her husband just weren't able to conceive naturally. At that point, most couples would have accepted it and moved on. Things changed for Kaur and her husband when they inherited some land and were able to gain some money.
After they acquired the money, Kaur saw an ad for IVF. She felt that she had to try it since she had always wanted a baby.

Kaur states that others encouraged her to adopt a baby but she never felt the urge to. She had faith that she was going to bear a child one day.
And, in 2016 that's what happened. The 72-year-old woman gave birth to a baby, Arman. Arman weight just a little under four pounds. She knew this was likely going to give her the title of the oldest mom.
Kaur talks about how since Arman started crawling, she has to be on her hands and knees and it's hard on her. She doesn't think that her body can take it. She recalls when times have been harder.
Because of her blood pressure, she tends to get tired really easily. She has been to see many doctors, but they only give her some medicines and want her to start a diet plan.
She's also worried about how she'll take care of her own husband, along with a toddler. Her husband just turned 80 recently. She always turns back to God, knowing that he'll take care of all the things that she and her family face.
Some of the medical professionals in India aren't on board with the decisions that were made and are placing the blame on the doctor that Kaur saw for the IVF process. One of the comments that were made is "It's cowboy medicine". The doctor that treated Kaur, Anurag Bishnoi, knows that they don't usually help women over fifty to receive IVF. But, he also wonders to what extent can they push this. He states that people aren't committing murder; they are creating life.
