Woman ‘Utterly Distraught’ After Finding Out About Her Husband’s Secret Other Family Through Stranger's Social Media Videos

Since the day they get married, husbands have a responsibility to protect their wives and children, if they have any. They are also expected to be loyal to their spouses at all times. 

Unfortunately, there are men who sometimes get away with their wrongdoings as they’re either having an affair with someone other than their wives, or worse, having a secret family on the side. 

This is what one wife suffered from, and she didn’t know what to do so she shared her shocking discovery online.

The unknown woman, who was 41 years old at the time when she took to the Relationship Advice thread on Reddit in August 2023, said that she had been “sitting with this information” for two weeks and didn’t know how to proceed.

It all began when she watched a TikTok video of a lady who shared recipes with her followers. However, there was someone in the background who immediately caught her attention as she recognized her husband’s back.

Initially, she wasn’t sure if it was truly her spouse, but upon further inspection, she confirmed that it was his “neck, back, legs and the clothing he was wearing.”

The woman later did more digging and watched more videos from the lady’s account, and she noticed that his movements “seemed normal.” 

“Every time he went on his work trips she’d post these videos saying she’s cooking a new recipe because her man is coming back from his work trip,” she wrote.

The lady in the video would then serve food to her husband, and the user recognized her partner’s “grubby hands” because of the way he would hold the cutlery.

Unfortunately, her husband, who was 52 years old at the time when she shared her anonymous post online, had been cheating on her with another woman for three years and it seems like he had a family on the side.

“He’s playing happy families with her and her three sons. They’re even planning on a having a baby,” she wrote. "I don’t know how he found the time to start an entire relationship on the side."

The wife then started to question what happened with their marriage because she thought they were happy as her husband told her he loves her “all the time.” He would also spoil her with gifts whenever he went on his “work trips.” 

“We talk all the time. We’ve been married for twenty one years and we have two daughters. We lost our eldest son 10 years ago but we worked through it and got closer then ever before,” she added.

At the time, the wife revealed that she and her husband were due to celebrate their 22nd wedding anniversary and it’s the man’s turn to plan because they alternate it annually. 

She communicated her feelings of anger and confusion about what to do next. She also expressed her true emotions as she added: “I am utterly distraught. I thought we were happy. I thought he loved our little life.”

At the end of the post, the wife said she couldn’t think of anything and didn’t know what steps to take next as she couldn’t focus. 

Initially, she said she commonly scrolled through Reddit threads to read things and give advice to other people, and she couldn’t think now that it was her experiencing the same fate as other people suffered online.

Unfortunately, her distress was evident when she accidentally left the stove on, almost burning down her kitchen.

In an update posted in August 2023, the woman seemed to have taken most of the advice she gathered from the thread, especially from those who told her not to tell her husband immediately.

The wife then revealed that she finally broke the news to her husband and told him that she knew he was having an affair with another woman. Initially, the husband denied all the accusations even though there was photographic evidence from a private investigator, which confirmed his deceit. But he didn’t admit it at first to the point that he accused his wife of “being insane.” After hours of confronting her husband, he finally admitted the truth.

“He tried to twist things so that he could weasel and lie his way out of it but I was relentless. I did not let him twist reality and make me doubt the plain truth,” she added.

The husband tried to make up for his mistakes as the wife woke up to him making breakfast and begging for forgiveness, but she insisted that he leave.

Later on, she went to the mistress and confronted her. 

“I had already suspected she was aware of him being a married man but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt,” she wrote.

The mistress later revealed that the husband was the one who paid for the house, the car and “all the money he spent on her.” Instead of getting mad, the wife was “glad that she gloated” and confirmed all of her husband’s purchases for the mistress because she owns half of his assets as a business partner. 

“I will take back everything he ever gave her, and much more!” the woman concluded.
