Most people can relate to that feeling of dread when we are waiting to board our flights, only to find out that it has been delayed or canceled due to bad weather. Spending the night at the airport can be dreadfully dull, or even fun if you have the right mindset. One woman decided to have the night of her life when she was left stranded overnight at the terminal.

Mahshid Mazooji was on her way to Colorado from New Jersey for a wedding, however, she was expecting to stop in Charlottle during her journey in 2017, as The Sun reported. Upon arriving at the Charlotte airport, she realized that she had missed her connecting flight. She would have to stay at the airport until the morning when she could catch another flight. All she could do was wait.

Being stuck at the airport can be one of the most frustrating circumstances, especially if you need to be somewhere. But Mazooji decided that she didn't want to let that bring her down when she was stranded overnight. Instead, she spent the night dancing to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" with airport employees, and the resulting video became a major hit when it was uploaded.

Not everyone can bring out the fun side of others easily, but Mazooji found a way to get lots of people involved in the fun video. It is sure to make viewers smile! Read on to know more about who Mazooji is and how her small video became a big hit online!

Charlotte Observer reported that Mazooji said, "I enjoy feel-good music and songs with soul." She added, "Lionel Richie is a legendary artist who I have been fortunate enough to see once in concert. I used to sing this song as a child and it always uplifted my spirits and got me moving. Every time."

After she was stranded at the airport all of a sudden, Mazooji decided that she only had two options: let boredom consume her or dance the night away. She began dancing in the terminal with strangers she had asked to join her. She aptly chose to dance to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long," a perfect choice for this occasion. In her video, we see a worker at a coffee shop who hopped in on her little dance session.

Her enthusiasm spread to almost everyone in the vicinity. Soon enough, both the workers and other passengers were also swaying along to the music. Her positivity was contagious and brightened the nights of everyone who saw her.

Dancing was not the only way she had fun that night. Mahshid also showed her comical side by performing silly acts such as sneaking a spray bottle from an abandoned cleaning cart to "freshen up." Her comical acts gained much-needed laughter from those around her.

Speaking to Charlotte Observer, Mazooji said, "Some people turned me down and others were hesitant at first, but they all opened up and seemed to enjoy it once they gave in."

Working at any job can be stressful and the airport is no different. By the end of the night, Mahshid's antics and dance sessions had given the workers the outlet they needed to relieve stress. She shared on YouTube:

"...I didn't want to sit in anger all night long , so instead I did what makes me happiest...DANCE!!!! Oh, and I made some really great friends along the way! Thank you for dancing your troubles away with me!!!:)."

Mahshid's antics gave everyone an amazing night at the airport and definitely one to remember. What most of her friends did not know was that the song she chose actually had a special meaning to her.

Mazooji explained this in an email to CharlotteFive: "I used to sing this song as a child and it always uplifted my spirits and got me moving. Every time."

She also told Charlotte Observer that what she did helped her to get through the night, "I stopped filming at about 3:30 a.m. and edited the video, posted it by 5 a.m. then passed out on the floor next to my gate until my flight.' She added, "The video really did help me pass the time."

"You are THE BEST. Can't tell you how much this cheered me when I needed it- AND you are a great dancer," one comment said.

"It's beautiful to see someone spreading so much joy like this! And it's amazing that you choose such a great attitude, keep doing you gurl," another person added.

The popularity of her video soon gained attention from Lionel Richie himself, who invited her to attend one of his shows in Las Vegas, as you can see in this video. She was even given the opportunity to meet him backstage! This is an incredible turn of events for a woman who was just trying to pass time after being stranded at the airport!
