Woman Joins In On Man’s Floor Piano Playing And The Crowd Is Captivated

The famous Tom Hanks’ movie “Big” has become a household classic and one of the most famous scenes is the one where Hanks and co-star Robert Loggia decide to play a huge floor piano that has been set up within a toy store. While it’s funny to watch on TV, it seems pretty unrealistic for real life – at least, we thought that until a piano expert named Alexander Dennis Volks decided to get together with his musical partner to perform their own version of the scene in a mall in Germany.

Alexander Dennis Volk is a fantastic performer, but so is the partner that joined him for this performance. The duo set it up at the Top-Shopping Mall "Weserpark" in Bremen, Germany, according to the video description, where they put down the huge floor piano that rivaled that seen in “Big”.

Considered a master pianist who has even earned the nickname “Mister Piano”, doing unusual things and performing in front of audiences isn’t strange for Volk, as seen at his official website. As it turned out, it was a roaring success!

Before the routine even started, Volk already had the gathering audience in awe as they watched him walk up and down the keys, simply trying it out as his associate observed from a distance. When the partner joins him, that’s when the real magic begins.

With the two of them jumping from one key to another, Volk and his partner take on the musical favorite “Heart and Soul." They make a tremendous splash as they bounce from one key to another and, surprisingly enough, give a flawless performance.

The entire routine was done barefoot with both of the performers dressed in clothes that matched the keys of the piano.

In the midst of the song, Volk decides to get the audience involved by instructing them to clap along to the beat of the music. The result is a song that involves the entire shopping mall and stuns everyone who hears it.

When the clip was uploaded to the internet, it became an instant hit with nearly 5 million people viewing it so far. Some people even commented that it was one of the coolest things that they’ve ever seen.
