They say that nothing's worse than losing a child. But losing a grandchild comes close. When Theresa lost her grandson Preston when he was only two years old, she might have thought that she'd never feel happy again.

Fortunately, the Makeover Guy showed her that it's possible to find happiness even in the midst of a devastating tragedy.

Be sure to reach the end of this article to see the full video.

The Makeover Guy is Christopher Hopkins, a professional makeup artist and Internet personality who has dedicated his life to making older women feel good about themselves.

Hopkins is a man of many talents. Apart from being the famous makeover guy, he's also an entertainer, an author, a baritone opera singer, and a successful businessman. But most importantly, the Makeover Guy is dedicated to helping others. He's helped countless older women throughout the United States feel good about themselves and remember what it was like to be young again.

He doesn't alter their appearance with Botox or plastic surgery. Instead, he uses hair styling and makeup techniques to bring out the natural beauty in these women. Once they've received one of his makeovers, these women always seem happier and more confident than they've been in years. Can you imagine a better way to put your skills to use?

Theresa introduces herself to the audience.

In this video, the lucky lady is one named Theresa from Minnesota. As Theresa introduces herself, we learn that she's fifty years old and has four children. She owns a business with her husband, who also owns a farm in rural Minnesota.

Theresa is also a grandmother to a two-year-old girl named Nora, whom she says she adores. In the video, Nora describes the toddler as a "wonderful little redhead."

But when she starts to talk about her other grandchild, her voice drops. She tells us about her grandson Preston, who passed when he was only two years old. It's a tragedy that most of us don't even want to think about. How can you move on after living through something like that?

Theresa says that her entire family has been dealing with grief for the past five months. "It's been really hard," she admits. Before her grandson passed away, her family had been planning this makeover for her fiftieth birthday. And better yet, Preston's mother had been planning a surprise party for Theresa.

But Preston's tragic death threw all their plans to the wayside. Theresa tears up as she talks about her daughter-in-law. She had initially wanted to cancel the makeover, but Preston's mother encouraged her to go ahead with it anyway. And now, it's time for the makeover of a lifetime.

When we see Theresa after the makeover, she looks like she's twenty years younger

The makeover reveals the beautiful woman underneath.

Her hair is perfectly styled and dyed a rich brown color. Her makeup makes her skin look young and healthy again. If you saw Theresa on the street, you'd never guess that she was fifty years old. She looks like a woman in her thirties who just stepped out of the salon. And her family is absolutely delighted. When they see her for the first time, they can't stop gushing about how beautiful she looks, while Theresa herself can't stop smiling.

She points out that the Makeover Guy didn't even change her hair length--he just trimmed the ends a little. It proves that Theresa was a beautiful woman all along. She just needed a little help to showcase her natural beauty to the rest of the world.

It shows that we all have beauty within us, but sometimes self-care is warranted to bring it out. According to Mind UK, an organization that aims to help people struggling with mental health, writes that self-care can make a huge difference in how you feel. Even simple acts like taking a shower might not be a priority when struggling with mental health, but it can do wonders in improving one's mood.

So next time a loved one is feeling down or is going through a difficult time, remember that something as menial as putting on a swanky outfit, or getting a haircut, can prove to be just the pick-me-up they need.
