There is always a lot of pressure on the bride when she walks down the aisle on her special day. Who should walk her down the aisle? Should she hold a bouquet of flowers? What music should be played? Should she be accompanied by bridesmaids?
One bride, 29-year-old Rosie Babor, from Cebu City in the Philippines, had an entirely different pressure on her. Rosie was born without legs, and decided, that instead of using her wheelchair, as she usually does, she would walk down the aisle unaided on her wedding day earlier this October.

A wedding day is often seen as a chance to overcome obstacles or fears and Rosie showed pure determination when she ditched her wheelchair in favor of walking down the aisle herself. Wearing her wedding dress and using her hands and hips, she made her way elegantly down the aisle to piano music, even stopping for a photograph.
She wore pretty white gloves and held a bouquet of flowers. You could see the triumph in her eyes as she overcame this hurdle—it clearly meant a lot to her.

Rosie and her boyfriend of three years, Mario Perez, got married in Santo Niño Parish in Mandaue City.
According to the Daily Mail, after she was married she declared: "I wanted everything to be perfect for my wedding, so I knew I had to walk down the aisle. It made the day so much more special, overcoming that small difficultly."
The couple was grateful to finally be getting married after their wedding plans had been postponed numerous times due to the coronavirus pandemic. The region that Rosie and Mario live in is still under local quarantine, so the number of guests that could attend their ceremony was limited, reports the Daily Mail.
A friend of Rosie and Mario, Arvin Sumagang, who originally posted the video that went viral, said that in being able to get herself down the aisle, without help from anyone or anything, she had fulfilled "every girl’s dream." He concluded by saying:
"Their story is inspiring and I am happy that they found each other."
This inspirational story shows that if you put your mind to it, you can overcome all kinds of odds. We wish Rosie and Mario a very happy life together!
