Rubble is a British cat that just beat the previous world record of the oldest living cat known to man. Rubble the moggy was born in a simpler time. When gas was cheap, and when the housing market wasn’t as risky. The year was 1988. The same year Rihanna was born. Now it’s 2019. Last year, Rubble the cat has celebrated its thirtieth birthday. This cat has lived alongside its original owner over the course of its entire life. Michelle Foster adopted Rubble as a kitten in 1988.
How Old Is This Cat?
They’ve loved each other like family ever since that fateful day they met. Yaaas King was the former record holder for the world’s oldest living feline. Rubble has left that old-timer in the dust last year.
This elder-kitty spent their big day celebrating with high-class cat-food at the local animal hospital. He even got a free check-up from the doctors.

He sounds like he really knows how to live life to the fullest. Spending the day hanging out with his animal buddies. Rubble certainly seemed to enjoy cracking open a cold can with the boys downtown. Michelle believes that Rubble’s long-life is due to pampering him like a human child as opposed to a kitty-cat. Michelle is fifty years old, and she never had any children of her own.
Rubble wasn’t exactly thrown into the spotlight intentionally. His owner thought that the attention from being a world record title-holder would go to his head. He is quickly adjusting to his new celebrity status without showing much concern.
His main health concern is high blood pressure. It needs to be treated continually by professionals with medication. The other oldest living cat in the UK was named Nutmeg. That cat died sometime last year
A Siamese cat called Scooter would be tied with Rubble if he hadn’t recently passed away. The oldest living cat on record is Creme Puff. That elder-kitty lived from August 1967 to August 2005. Puff clocked-out at an astounding thirty-eight years old. That’s a tough record to beat. Michelle loves her kitty more than anything else. She is enthusiastic that Rubble has a lot of life left in him.
