Wife Raves About ‘Handsome’ Husband In Video After Critics Dub Her Too Attractive For Him

It seems like almost everybody on the internet has their own opinion about every little thing, so when Texas couple Scott and Divine began making the rounds online, trolls were quick to slam their relationship as fake on the sole basis that they believed Divine was far too attractive for her husband.
The pair met online in 2017 after Divine, who is from the Philippines, accidentally messaged him on Facebook, thinking he was somebody else. However, they began chatting and struck up a relationship that led Scott to fly over to the Philippines six times to see the woman he would eventually propose to.
For years, the couple has had to face comments from strangers online saying Divine was only with Scott for his money or a green card, as they couldn’t believe someone so attractive could fall for a man that looked like Scott.
In an August 2022 video filmed for Truly, the loved-up couple allowed cameras into their homes and addressed the controversy surrounding them. When asked how people have reacted to their relationship online, Scott answered:
“Not very well. We do have some we have very strong supporters but there’s a lot of people that will bash us at any chance that they possibly can.”
He said some of the nastiest comments they’ve received were “he’s gonna die soon,” “she’s a gold digger,” and “she’s just here for a green,” adding that many found it “so unbelievable that she’s together with me that there’s no way that she’s a real woman.”
However, the pair has remained unassailable and continue to prove their naysayers wrong by posting adorable clips on TikTok together that show just how strong their bond is.

According to Scott, his life was “at a total standstill” before he met Divine. Scott also suffered from the autoimmune disease scleroderma, which causes inflammation in the skin and other areas of the body. He told Truly despite being told he wouldn’t be able to fly because his oxygen level isn’t good, he proved his detractors wrong – all for the sake of love.
Now, the pair has hit back at their critics with a tongue-in-cheek TikTok video posted in early 2023, in which they responded to a comment that read: “Wow. He isn’t cute at all. Come on. Be real with you.”
In the clip, Scott and Divine are sitting in a car when she turned to her husband and said, “Babe, they say you’re not cute.” He responded with stern conviction, “I guess it doesn’t really matter, she thinks I’m cute.”
Divine continued and said, “Yeah, what you talking about, guys. My husband is very, very, handsome,” before pulling him closer to her to give him a kiss on the cheek.
“Handsome and handsome and handsome of all the people in the world I know,” she gushed.
However, this didn’t stop their critics from piping up with mean comments such as “Looks repulsed by his presence and by any physical contact with him,” while another said, “that wallet and greencard must be cute.”
Despite this, the video racked up a fair amount of support from viewers, who urged the couple to ignore the haters.
“Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Why do people have to hate on others’ happiness. You guys are awesome and your love can be felt on here,” one fan wrote, while another said, “He is a handsome man. With a great sense of humor and confidence. That (is) what women want.”
