When Coworkers Caught This Nurse Rummaging Through A Donation Bin, They Decided To Teach Her A Lesson She Would Never Forget

It’s a well-known fact that anybody who chooses to become a nurse is selfless, caring, and extremely dedicated to their job. A nurse would happily give the shirt off their back in order to make another person feel the warmth. Sara Putnam, from Richmond, Virginia, is a shining example of what it means to be a true nurse.

Sara has dedicated all of her time to helping others, and her internal motherly instinct has resulted in a judge ruling that she has primary custody of her granddaughter, named Isabella. Taking custody of her granddaughter was the right decision to make, but it left nurse Sara struggling to accommodate a baby into her home with all of the food, clothing, and supplies that are necessary to take care of a child.

The judge’s ruling left the nurse with no option but to do something unimaginable in order to prepare for the newborn Isabella.

Sara has a career as a nurse in Richmond, Virginia working at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital, where she has formed close bonds with her coworkers. Together they properly handle awful injuries, frustrating patients, doctors that can be stubborn and a demanding schedule.

When coworker Pam Medina, witnessed Sara sifting through the child donation box at their hospital, she immediately asked Sam what was going on to make her do such a thing. What could Sara want with second-hand clothing items, especially ones for kids?

Sara admitted to her coworker Pam that she had been awarded primary custody of her granddaughter and was struggling to make ends meet to provide for Isabella. Little did Sara know, that confiding in her amazing coworker would initiate a generous and heartfelt response.

When Pam returned home from work later that day, she got on the internet and sent messages to every online mother group that she could find. Unbeknownst to Sara, Pam decided to try to collect all of the supplies needed to help raise Isabella.

Pam wasn’t hopeful about the responses she would receive, but before long the replies began flying in! Other mothers from all over Virginia were volunteering to donate supplies such as children’s toys, clothing, baby furniture, meals, and everything else needed to raise Isabella. Pam graciously spent her next few days off work driving hundreds of miles across the state to collect the donated items.

When Pam finally shows Sara the surprise she’s been working on, the emotional moment is something they will both remember forever.
