The “magic” Windows key doesn’t just open up the start menu. When used in combination with many other keys, the Windows key makes it easier and faster to perform different tasks on the computer. Below are twelve combinations using the Windows key and other keys that you'll be able to do in your sleep!

1. Alt + Backspace

We have all accidentally deleted a word or a sentence. Use this combination to undo what you have deleted, quickly and easily.

 

2. ALT + F4

Pressing these two will close out a program or window.

 

3. CTRL + ALT + TAB

This combination of keys will let you see all open windows so that you can easily navigate between them.

 

4. CTRL + T

Use this combination to open up a new tab in any browser.

 

5. F2

Pressing F2 lets you rename both folders and files.

 

6. CTRL + SHIFT + N

Using this combination on Google Chrome allows you to open up a private browser tab.
