It shows frankly from their performance in the video attached. The two have dumbfounding skills that will leave you cheering them to go on.
Kaylee and Lauren Thomas are familiar with participating in competitions. The duo was up for another challenge, this time at the Clogging Champions of America.
At the start of their performance, the two sisters face backward with their backs facing the audience. The two look like twins dressed in the same outfit with their hair tied up in the same hairstyle. The music in the background commences alerting them to take the floor with a bang! The two sisters grab each other’s’ hands and quickly assume into fast clogging moves. The clogging steps change from swift movements, sliding, knocking, kicking, and tapping, all under immense intensity and energy.
They turn, and you can see two identical girls that could be mistaken for blurred vision.
The two sisters are one in the same person. They are so identical, especially because they are dressed in the same clothes, have blonde hair, are of the same body physique, and sync together as one. Their feet, heads, hands, and little dresses move in the same exact way you’d think you have blurred vision. What’s even surprising is that these two sisters aren’t twins, and no, your eyes aren’t blurred. Kaylee is older than Lauren with a few years, but they look exactly the same!
Clogging is a somewhat underrated dancing style often not witnessed in modern culture. However, Kentucky didn’t ditch their official state dance and clogging has been recognized as one of the most common and molding features of the Appalachian culture, according to States Symbols USA.
For Kaylee and Lauren, the two sisters chose to go with fast-paced leg and body routines that match up well with a similarly fast bluegrass song. When you think of a dance that incorporates kicks, jumps, swinging, and foot-tapping, that’s Kaylee and Lauren performing their ultimate clogging dance. Kaylee and Lauren hold legendary statuses as clogging dancers, having given electrifying performances over the years.
The Thomas sisters began dancing at an early age, according to reports Doubletoe Times. Kaylee and Lauren started clogging at the ages of five and three, respectively. They have since been taking stages by waves wherein 2012, the two made a grand appearance on TV. The duo made it to the game show on Nickelodeon, Figure It Out. In 2018, Kaylee and Lauren made yet another appearance to The Gong Show, where they performed an act titled, “The Terror Tap Twins.”
One competition aims to accommodate cloggers from all levels starting from beginners to advanced, The Clogging Champions of America (CCA).
CCA explains its missions and goals on their website: “The goal of CCA is to create an atmosphere of spirited and sportsmanlike competition and provide more opportunities for cloggers within the competitive and entertainment realms.”
