Tom Cruise Opens Up About Speculation He’s Gone Under The Knife

As Cruise began hitting his late 40s, speculation became rife that the star had undergone cosmetic procedures, in particular, rhinoplasty, a hair transplant, Botox and fillers. The media zeroed in on his unusually puffy appearance at the BAFTAs in 2016, which experts theorized was the result of injectables. Owner of Harley Street Injectables Alice Henshaw told The Sun the “inflated” and “puffy” look of his face corresponded to the use of fillers. 

“Tom looked as if he had undereye filler and filler around his mouth and nasal labial fold in 2016,” she said.

However, she conceded that Cruise’s fluctuating weight might also be the cause behind times he has looked unusually puffy, such as during another appearance at a basketball game in 2021. Registered aesthetics nurse Dawn Attewell, however, told Daily Mail photos of him at the game looked like the result of “excessive filler” and “post-procedure swelling.”

“Often, surgical procedures such as a platysmal plasty, or neck lift, combined with a mid-facelift could create this type of swelling in these areas,” Attewell added.

However, Cruise appeared to have shot down the rumors to Playboy magazine in 2012. According to Fox News, when asked whether he had ever undergone any cosmetic procedures, he said:

“I haven’t, and I never would.”

Despite all the assumptions and guesswork on Cruise’s looks, it all remains to still be conjecture at this point. Indeed, as Cruise entered his 60s in 2022, photos of him at public events showed he still bore the marks of age and wisdom on his face in the form of fine lines and wrinkles. While this may be down to having experts at his beck and call to make any changes look as natural as possible, as it stands, neither Cruise nor his representatives have confirmed any plastic surgery procedures.
