The skit’s opening scene is at a Western saloon. A few cowboys donned in their unique western attires are idling and milling around the small, open-lit bar.

A few seconds later, as everyone settles into their positions, the swinging half doors at the entrance bang open: It’s the famous Harvey Korman, dressed as a bank robber and completing the look with a black hat.

You are now wondering how a bank robber turns hilarious in this particular western setting skit, but hang on. Korman walks over to the counter and orders, wait for it; a Mai Tai. Is Mai Tai the kind of drink you see a hardcore bank robber ordering—a humourous order.

Vicky Lawrence steps in and informs Korman that he isn’t welcomed there at the bar. Now Korman is unbothered and even goes ahead to pull a chair and engage other clients in gambling. As Korman makes himself comfortable, the town’s sheriff is seen crawling along the bar’s doors.

Conway Lawman doesn’t make his entrance like a normal sheriff with power in his hands. The clients at the bar are all watching for the moment where he makes the grand entrance. Eventually, after a long wait, the sheriff manages to sneak under the doors and slithers his way over to the table of gamblers.

Conway will make you laugh even without uttering a word. He has a way of delivering comedy using body language. He does this skillfully after lazily slithering to the table, rolling on it, and eventually tumbling into an empty chair. The scene is absolutely rib-cracking, but since there aren’t any allowances for spoilers, here’s another snippet. The card game is on, and Conway, still in character, makes the game so hilarious that Korman struggles to keep his hardcore face and character uninterrupted. Shortly after, Korman and the sheriff prompt a gunfight that happens in the most entertaining way possible.

Flashback to when Conway and Korman were playing cards, the sheriff in character makes it his sole mission to ensure that the bank robber cracked hard and, at times, tried too hard to hide it. Watching the skit again, you can easily notice the multiple times Korman smirks, turns away and laughs hard at Conway’s jokes and body language. In turn, the comedy has an effect on the audience viewing the sheriff and bank robber.
