Three-Year-Old Performs Alabama’s 1993 Track ‘Angels Among Us’

Social media has become an increasingly powerful tool in helping people connect with those they might not have been able to interact with otherwise. It also helps people come together to virtually experience moments together, whether it be a celebrity doing a livestream with their fans or a group of people all watching the same viral video at once. 

Social media has also helped some of today’s artists create a platform for themselves, including singers such as Halsey, Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. While many people upload their performances on the internet to gain some fame, others stumble into fame without expecting to. Some of the most favorite types of videos online consist of adorable kids singing and performing, and one three-year-old boy was filmed singing the song "Angels Among Us" by the iconic country band "Alabama." 

The video was uploaded in 2008 by Youtube user Ashley McBride, and though it was posted so long ago, the video is still incredibly loved by people all across the world. The boy, who is named Hewitt, shows that talent can start very young, and as long as one has passion and love for what they do, the results are spectacular. It certainly helps that Hewitt looks like one of the sweetest boys ever! 

The song that he loves to sing is also quite an iconic one, and one that the band "Alabama" is known for. The message of the song continues to reverberate across not just the US but the world, and even toddlers like Hewitt know that there is something special behind it. 

In the description of the video, user Ashley McBride wrote, "Here is Hewitt singing his favorite song. Angels Among Us by Alabama. Everytime we get in the car he asks to listen to this song. He is barely 3 yrs old." 

As the video begins, Hewitt is asked if he wants to sing his favorite sing by someone who is most likely his mother, and he enthusiastically says yes. However, being in front of the camera can be a little daunting for anyone, so Hewitt starts off a little shy. His voice begins to gain strength as the song continues though, and by the end of the video his voice embraces the notes of the song the best that he can, and it is clear that Hewitt truly does love "Angels Among Us" and it must be his favorite song. 

McBride's video feed is filled with other videos of herself, her family, and a little boy named Walker who is presumably her son and Hewitt's brother. Though there have been no updates regarding Hewitt's singing career, it is clear that his original video, which was the very first video that McBride uploaded onto Youtube has gained over 154,000 views at the time of publishing this article. 

Though the comments have been disabled on the video, the number of views is a sure sign that Hewitt is a star in his own right. His adorable face, his shy but steady rendition of his favorite song and his sweet voice are a sure hit with the viewers who have come across this video.
