Who knew that talking about elephants would cause such uproarious laughter, not just from those in the audience who were doubled over in constant guffaws but from the actors on stage? That's exactly what happened in these famous outtakes from "The Carol Burnett Show."

These clips remind us of scenes from "Saturday Night Live," and if "The Carol Burnett Show", which was pre-recorded, was broadcast live, laughter would have surely emanated constantly from living rooms across the country too.

We don't want to ruin the story for you, but rest assured that Tim Conway, a regular on the show, ensured that his telling of a story involving an elephant was entertaining. By the end of that video, Conway and Harvey Kormann were literally rolling on the floor laughing as the live studio audience joined them in raptures.

"The Carol Burnett Show" was one of the country's most popular shows during its original run from 1967-78. It has repeatedly been mentioned on lists of the "Best/Greatest TV Shows of All Time," and it was amongst the top-30 watched shows every single season from 1967-76.

Had you watched "The Carol Burnett Show" before seeing that clip? If not, is your curiosity now piqued?
