Garcia has two kids, one who is 16 months old and another who is two months old. The 16 month old is busy doing what toddlers do, which involves a lot of exploring. The two month old has both colic and reflux. If you've had a baby before, you know that they love to be held, and when they have colic and/or reflux, being held becomes even more important to them.
One day, Garcia decided to try out an idea that she saw online. She went over to her cabinet, grabbed a plastic glove, and filled it with rice. She put her baby down to rest and then instead of rubbing or patting her, she put the glove on the baby's back. This seemed to do the trick, as the baby stopped crying immediately.
We've all come up with ways to help our kids, and this is one strategy that might help new parents get a little reprieve once in a while.
What do you think about this mom's brilliant method? It certainly frees her for up for brief amounts of time and the baby seems to love it. Spread the word if you think someone you know might want to try it!
