Many businesses offer discounts and free items for employees. The Magic Kingdom took things a step further and shut down the entire park so that over 4,000 veteran employees and their families could enjoy the day together.

Disney enjoys taking care of its workers. The Magic Kingdom and other Disney parks offer free admission for employees as well as discounts on items throughout the parks.

The Magic Kingdom decided to close its gates at 4:30 in the afternoon on November 5 so that workers could enjoy doing something besides operating rides or preparing food. The company knows that without the employees of the park, then it wouldn't be a success.

When guests arrived at the park, they were greeted by a red carpet that was rolled out on the ground. There were a few who dressed up in special attire for the evening.

Employees felt like they were treated like guests instead of people who simply work behind a counter at a large park. They know that they accomplish a lot during the day, and it's nice to be appreciated. Some employees have been working with Disney for dozens of years.

Some of the workers don't realize what they do at the park and can't fathom that they've been working for 20 or sometimes 50 years for Disney. They have seen everything from popular characters to the delivery of new movies and characters from Disney. This kind of event has been taking place at the park since 1965.

Those in attendance were treated to free rides, free food, and plenty of pictures with their favorite Disney characters, such as Winnie the Pooh and Mickey Mouse.
