This Boat Plows Through Flooded Streets To Rescue Left Behind Animals From Water
Sep 19, 2018 by apost team
Tropical Storm Florence wreaked havoc on the Southeastern coastal United States just as weather forecasters predicted it would. In spite of the gloom and destruction brought on by the storm, the heroic exploits of certain brave individuals are bringing a silver lining of hope to this devastated area.
One such group of people is dedicated to saving the lives of some of the most vulnerable and forgotten victims of the storm: the pets who have been left behind to suffer.
As the many evacuees were forced to flee to safety, some of them, for whatever reasons, weren't able or willing to bring their family pets along with them.
These bewildered, abandoned animals have been forced to rely on their instincts to try and navigate their way out of harm's way during the deadly aftermath of this terrible storm.

Local news outlet WYFF reported that a group of men has taken it upon themselves to try and lend these poor pets a helping hand. They're taking their own personal boat out into the floodwaters of the Jacksonville, North Carolina area in search of animals with nowhere else to go.
They're taking in all sorts of scared animals as they navigate through the knee-deep waters in one neighborhood after another.
They haven't yet settled on a plan for what to do with the rescued animals at this point, but these animal lovers feel compelled to do their best to save as may pets' lives as they possibly can.
In some instances, the frightened animals seem reluctant to get into the boat. This doesn't deter these brave rescuers from doing their best to try and help them.
Once they're safe on dry land, they seek out much-needed care to help the pets enjoy the safety and security they need during the rest of the storm.
Their goal is to try and see to it that as many pets as possible are able to be placed back in the care of their families.
In a similar instance, a local pastor is out searching for pets and trying to reunite them with their families as well.
Not many people out there would be brave enough to venture out into the dangerous floodwaters to save pets' lives.
They're sacrificing their time and their safety to help those who aren't able to help themselves and who could never be able to repay them for their acts of kindness.
