Decadent Chocolate Mousse Recipe

  • 200 grams dark or white chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 500 milliliters fresh whipping cream
  • 2 egg whites
  • Pour water into a standard-sized pot until it's one-third full. Bring it to a boil. Place a heat-friendly glass bowl over the pot and make sure it properly fits. Put the broken pieces of your desired chocolate into the glass bowl. Gently stir the chocolate until they are all evenly melted. Set aside.

    In a small bowl, beat the egg whites with an electric beater until they look firm. Set aside.

    In a medium-sized bowl, beat the fresh cream until it reaches its soft-peak stage. Gently combine the melted chocolate into the bowl of whipped cream. Add the firm egg whites to the bowl of chocolate and cream. Gently fold the firm eggs into the mixture until everything is mixed evenly.

    Fill six small-sized ramekins with the mousse mixture. Place them in the refrigerator and let them chill for approximately 2 to 3 hours, or until they're fully set. Serve them immediately after and enjoy.
