Life has its bare-minimum requirements for comfort and health. Every person absolutely needs a great night’s sleep.
Tons of different factors affect how much you sleep, and the quality of sleep you get each night. The most common problem comes from the position you lay when you sleep.
Do you have trouble sleeping? these five tips will help you get the rest you deserve without breaking your bank!
1. Sleeping With Your Left-Side Down
Sleeping on your left side has almost unbelievable perks. You probably never even wondered if sleeping on different sides makes any difference. There’s no doubt that it really does matter.
Sticking to the same left-side-down position as a routine can improve your digestive system. You’ll likely experience less heartburn and improved circulation throughout your whole body. It even does wonders for the lymph system.
Gravity is the secret to success for your natural processes. Having all of your fluids and contents pulled down towards your left side just makes it easy for you to get things done when you sleep.
If you sleep on your right-side, then consider making the switch. You don’t get the same benefits on the right-side because of the anatomy of the human body. It won’t be hard to change your habits and actually get rewarded for it.

2. Tips For Side-Sleeping
You’ve heard the scoop on Left-side sleeping, so now you need to figure out the most efficient way to get it done. Here’s the right way to get the support you need in order to make this new position into your nightly habit.
If you’ve always slept in a bad position, then you might not even realize how bad of a shape your body has been contorted too. You might be in even more pain than you are able to notice.
Being stuck in your old ways doesn’t mean you haven’t woken up sore occasionally. What it does mean is that you’ve gotten so used to sleeping with terrible support that you probably have no idea what a normal morning feels like anymore.
Try stuffing a pillow between your legs when you sleep on your side. You’ll want a pillow that’s firm enough to keep your legs from touching together, but soft enough to form comfortably in the shape of your body.
The end-goal is that you don’t want to feel any pressure or strain on your hip whatsoever. Experiment with different pillows till you get the formula just-right.
3.Back-Sleeping
If you can sleep on your back, then you’re in good standing with most sleep-experts. Back-sleeping is often regarded as the best and most effective position for sleep.
Sleeping on your back can apparently help prevent wrinkles from occurring too. It’s literal beauty-sleep. You hopefully won’t hurt as much when you wake up either. Just remember that great sleep is all about targeted support. Your back stays in a normal position, and you aren’t crushing your arms.
The main issue that people tend to have with sleeping on their back is snoring. You might have some trouble breathing from your tongue sinking to the back of your throat.
You can thankfully add as many pillows and elevation as you want. Find the perfect pillow to rest your head on that doesn’t strain the neck. Add another soft pillow to your lower back where your spin curves upward. It will make a world of difference to your comfort levels.
4. Sleeping Chest-Down
Your neck is really going to feel it from years of laying face-down. It’s by far the worst position to sleep.
If you need to sleep on your stomach to get rest, then there are ways you can seriously improve your levels of comfort.
You want to aim for using the smallest pillow possible. It’s best if you have no pillow at all. It just puts too much strain on your upper-back and neck to lay like this. Reducing the amount of bend on your neck is going to be the most important thing for you to do.
You can add a pillow under your waist to raise your hips higher. It reduces the strain on your back and makes your posture more natural.
5. Sleeping In A Seat
Traveling on a plane or train is never going to be extra-cozy, but you can pull through a few winks of shut-eye.
Try to sit next to a wall. You can kind-of prop your pillows against it to keep them in place and allow you to stretch out a little further. Try grabbing a pair of headphones and listen to some relaxing Vapor-Wave mixtape or your favorite songs.
There just isn’t much you can do when it comes to sleeping in an upright position.
Just try to make it as comfortable as possible by wearing a sleep mask and keeping your legs bent.
You certainly don’t want to increase your chances of a blood clot by sitting improperly.
