Talk about practice. It's said that Rami Malek watched Freddie Mercury's Live Aid Performance on Youtube more than 1,500 times! He did this so that he could be spot on with his own version in the newest released film, Bohemian Rhapsody. He obviously paid some attention. When you see these two performances put side by side, your mind will be blown.
Every move matches the original, including head movements, steps, and even hand gestures. He even matches up lip pursing that the famous Mercury is known for, without flaw. People are stunned by his performance in the film and are completely freaking out on Twitter about it.

There have been several comments made. One person said that they were able to recreate one of the greatest live shows that have ever been performed and did it in a way that a whole new generation will be able to experience it like they were actually there for the original.
Someone else commented that it was so good they got confused which was the original and which was the remake.
One person was quick to point out all the detail in the sets. They said that the first thing they did after the movie was to check out the piano to see if the Pepsi and beer were on it...and it was.
In an interview, Malek talked about the original performance. He stated that he watched it more than 1,500 times. Malek said that he even had it on set with him just in case he needed it. He wanted it to be perfect. He said he tried to get it to move for move and even down to gestures.
He states that he felt he had it in his bones. He didn't want to keep having to go back to it as he felt it might lose some authenticity if he tried too hard to nail it. But he admits that prior to being on set, he was watching it non stop.
