The movie follows the story of famous professional bull rider Lane Frost. Frost grew up learning to ride bulls, beginning to ride when he was just a young child. Shortly after his 30th birthday, Frost died after completing his final 8-second ride.

After finishing the bull, named “Takin’ Care of Business,” the bull rapidly turned on Frost and used his horn to puncture him. The bull broke several of his ribs and Frost collapsed. The bull also managed to pierce his heart and his lungs, leading to his death.

The movie 8 Seconds has become a classic saga of the legendary Lane Frost, played by 90210 actor Luke Perry. Cynthia Geary played Frost’s wife, Kellie Kyle, who first met Frost while they were both on the rodeo circuit.
