Tesla Spends $0 A Year On Advertising, But Today They Have The Greatest Car Commercial Of All Time

SpaceX recently launched the Falcon Heavy rocket, which was carrying.....a Tesla car! That's right, Elon Musk's very own cherry red Roadster is cruising at high altitudes en route to Mars, and will be in orbit for the next billion years.

The impressive rocket is an absolute monster with 27 engines and can generate more power than 18 747 jumbo jets. It is the most powerful rocket to fly since NASA's moon rocket, the Saturn V! There were fears that the heavy rocket would explode within moments, but everyone was fortunately proven wrong, even Elon Musk himself.

Even though this was a test launch, Musk took the opportunity to send some payload to space: his cherry Roadster! The car made its way deep into space and is currently being "driven" by a spaceman that Musk has lovingly named "Starman." 

There is even a live feed of Starman cruising through space!
 

When was the last time you saw a Tesla commercial? Chances are this rocket launch is the first time people have seen a Tesla model advertised on their TV screen. Elon Musk's successful company doesn't rely on expensive marketing campaigns that so many other car companies depend on, but rather on word-of-mouth and online discussions.

But now Tesla has set the bar extremely high for other companies by practically shipping a car to space. Really, how do you beat that?
