Terry Bradshaw Has Earned Millions But One Moment Illustrates That He Never Let The Fame Change Him
Nov 29, 2021 by apost team
Terry Bradshaw is best known for his Hall of Fame career as a quarterback in the NFL. He won four Super Bowls in a six-year period and was the first quarterback in the league to win three and four Super Bowls. In 1989 he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and later the College Football Hall of Fame.
However, there is much more to the man. Ever since he officially retired from football in 1983, he's been a mainstay on television and even the film and music industries. A sports analyst and co-host of "Fox NFL Sunday" since 1994, Bradshaw has proven himself to not only be an incredible sportsman but also a revered sports commentator.
But he hasn't limited his talents only to sport, of which there's no denying he is exceptionally talented and knowledgeable. But rather, he is also very skilled in other areas. He's been in many TV shows and movies, most notably the movie "Failure to Launch" starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew McConaughey. He's also released several country music albums over the years.
What's more, he generally just comes across as a good guy who's always up for helping others. Well, one incident from Nov. 2020 proved that Bradshaw is just that after he helped out a stranger in Gainesville, Texas whose car wouldn't start. Bradshaw approached the man and helped him out by jump-starting his car. The man had no idea who had just helped him but an onlooker recorded the moment and posted it online as proof of just how wonderful Bradshaw truly is.

The story took place in November of last year and it really defines who Bradshaw is. But Bradshaw didn't help someone out because he thought it was being recorded, he did it out of the goodness of his own heart.
On a rainy day in Gainesville, Texas, Bradshaw stood next to a stranger at a petrol station parking lot. The two men talked among themselves and it became clear that the stranger's car wouldn't start. So without a moment to lose, Bradshaw pulled out jumper cables from his car and the two men got to work. Soon enough, the car started and Bradshaw threw his hand up in the air and yelled "Touchdown!"
An onlooker named Cindy Hurt Hammer filmed the incident from afar and posted it online with the caption:
"And this is why I’m a true Terry Bradshaw fan!!!! Super humble fella"
The video has since been viewed over 187,000 times. What's more, the man whose car needed starting had no idea who was helping him out so generously. Hammer told NBC 5:
"He had no idea who was helping him until he came in the store to use the computer and we told him."
She added:
"The world needs to see more people like this. He is a blessing to so many people and probably doesn’t even know it."
This story proved that even though Bradshaw may be, among many things, one of the greatest football players, an incredible sports analyst and TV host and a millionaire, he hasn't lost touch with humanity and is willing to go out of his way to help others. Hammer is right that we need more people in the world like him.

Meanwhile, on Hammer's Facebook post, another woman recounted her own run-in with Bradshaw. She said, "a few years ago (she was) looking at lettuce at Tom Thumb and (she and Bradshaw) both turned and looked at one another." She continued:
"..and I just looked confused..so we made awkward eye contact and walked in opposite directions."
Unsure if she had really seen Bradshaw himself, she went and told her husband. She wrote:
"I walked over to my husband and I said ‘I’m pretty sure I just made eye contact with Terry Bradshaw..’ and my husband was like ‘Wth are you talking about..’ and he looks up and he was like ‘Holy s**t you did’"
It's just another small story about a run-in with a celebrity, but it once again proves how down-to-earth Bradshaw is. He's out there shopping at supermarkets like the rest of us and he's not above stopping to help out a stranger with their car.
Perhaps it's Bradshaw's upbringing that explains why he's so considerate of others. He once talked about the difficulty he had adjusting to big city life when his career got started. He said:
"You have to understand, now, I’m a momma’s boy. I’m from the south. My way of being raised is totally different than the big city life. I truly was a country boy."
He added:
"I was just a good old Southern kid. I was a nice guy."
Bradshaw has made a huge impact, not only professionally while playing football and his many other ventures, but for being a great guy all around.
