Tear-Jerking Video Of 11-Year-Old On The Search For Friends Wins Over Hearts Online

The world is already suffering so much with different things going on at the same time, and the best way to keep each other’s company is to spread kindness and love one another. This is what a neighbor did to a little kid around their area who had been searching for friends.

Brennan Ray took to his TikTok account in early July 2023 and shared a heartwarming video of a little boy named Shayden Walker where he could be seen talking to a doorbell camera.

The little boy asked the man if he knew any kids in their Texan neighborhood around the ages of 11 or 12 because he needed some friends.

Brennan then told the kid that there were youngsters nearby that he could play with, but the kid made a heartbreaking revelation as he told his neighbor that he wasn't friends with them anymore because they were bullies, and they kept bullying him.

Left with no other options, Shayden asked the TikTok user if he had any kids of his own, which he revealed that he did, but his child was only 2 years old at the time.

The young boy was visibly happy upon hearing the news as he told him that he loves 2-year-olds as he also had a sister who was younger than him.

After the interaction, Brennan made a big move as he set up a GoFundMe page in order to help Shayden.

In the description, he explained that the boy was going door to door around their neighborhood looking for friends, and he wanted to make a grand gesture for him by raising money to help him buy a gaming system.

In addition, he also wanted him to have school clothes, amusement park tickets, and even a trip for his family.

Brennan Ray and his wife, Angell Ray, spoke with KFOR, and they discussed more about the interaction.

Initially, the wife told the outlet that the main reason they shared the video online was because they wanted Shayden to have friends, but they had no idea that the clip would gain millions of views.

Regarding the fundraising page that they created, Angell said they didn’t expect to get so much money from strangers.

“I made the GoFundMe and within the first hour, it was $2,000 and within the first five hours, it was $10,000. Before I could get off work, we had passed $20,000… it was mind-blowing how fast it happened,” she told the outlet.

Shayden’s mother, Krishna Patterson, had no idea about what was happening at first as she didn’t have a TikTok account, so she initially messaged Angell and asked her, “What is this?”

Upon watching the clip, the mom became emotional as she could see “the pain in Shayden’s eyes.”

“I realized that these people were just good-hearted, literal walking angels who wanted to do something good for a boy they saw in pain,” Patterson said.

When she saw how much the GoFundMe page had already raised, she told Angell to close it down as it was already around $37,000 at the time.

Patterson's family would not use all of the money entirely as she told the outlet that some of the funds would be donated to the tornado victims in Perryton and Matador, Texas, as well as the war in Ukraine.

For Shayden’s part, he shared a heartfelt message to the bullies, “if you are not a bully, please do not become a bully… I hope that people who have never been a bully, just don’t become one, please. It is a world full of heartbreak.”
