The sight of a child pedaling a bike down a road isn't an uncommon occurrence. Active children love to take their bikes throughout the neighborhood. Usually, you can see the joy and excitement on a child's face when he/she enjoys the bicycling time. When the child's face presents a look of pure terror, however, something is obviously wrong.

Cameron's dad suffers from diabetes. and began suffering from complications from the illness. Other than seven-year-old Cameron, there wasn't anyone in the house capable of helping him. Cameron went to the telephone, but he didn't know the passcode to make a call.
No one was home at the neighboring houses. Cameron realized his grandmother could help, but she lived a full five miles away. Unable to call her, Cameron took to his bike and took the most direct route: he biked down a major highway.
Bicycling in a panicked mode down a highway isn't the best strategy for a small child in a high-stress state. Cameron was lucky Keller noticed him and chose to intervene. Keller pointed out that Cameron's state of mind appeared much calmer and in control than she'd expect.
Still, her help greatly assisted the situation. Even if Cameron reached his grandmother's house, the time elapsed could have proven dangerous to his dad.
After Keller discovered why Cameron was bicycling furiously down a highway, two truckers pulled over and asked if anyone needed help. A call to 911 followed right after. Cameron's dad did receive the help needed with no time to spare.
Cameron, Keller, and everyone involved with helping the young boy's dad receive treatment all deserve praise. Cameron, especially, stands out as a hero.
