Kinsie Johns is a third-grade teacher at Anette Win Elementary School. The Georgia teacher adores her students very much.

She teaches her students that the classroom should always be a safe space and that her students should always be respectful toward each other. Mrs. Johns feels that her students should be as unique as they desire.

According to FOX5 Atlanta, Mrs. Johns walked into her classroom and saw that one of her students is being bullied by the other students in the class. She was very upset that her students had violated the safe space rule that she created. According to Johns, one of her students had her hair in a style called the space bun.

"One of my students had begun to wear her hair in what is now referred to as 'space buns,'" Johns told the outlet. "She wore her hair like this on Tuesday and by Wednesday she was being called 'space girl.'"

At first, Mrs. Johns was very irritated and wanted to follow the frequent protocols for bullying. After thinking it thoroughly, she realized that would not be the best solution for this problem. The next day in class, Kinsie surprised everybody by wearing her own hair in a space bun.

"She was beaming when she saw me and the students noticed that our hair looked the same," said Johns.

Students couldn’t believe that their teacher was wearing her hair in this style! The next day, all the girls in their class had their hair in space buns, even some of the boys with long hair even wore their hair that way. Johns was thrilled that by doing one simple thing for her student, the perception for all her students changed. She taught her students that it’s their uniqueness that makes the world a fun place.

"The little point I was trying to make turned into a huge support for my little friend," she stated. "All the girls in my class are wearing their hair in 'space buns' and even some of the boys got involved!"
