Of course, while spiders have an important role in the global ecosystem, they're not for everyone. Many people agree that Peacock tarantulas are best admired from a distance. These spiders are about the size of an adult man's hand. That's a LOT of spider to keep in one place. Even people who love to look at interesting spiders like the Peacock tarantula aren't always sure keeping them as pets is ideal.

Though some people love owning these interesting creatures, one can't be sure they reciprocated. While a dog or cat will seek out affection like pats and ear scritches. Spiders aren't really like that. It's hard to tell if a tarantula is only tolerating its owner but would have been happier left to themselves.
