Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are one of Hollywood's most adorable couples. From the beginning of their romance in 2015 when they were both coaches on "The Voice," to their frequent social media posts about each other where they often declare their love for one another, the couple has shared an incredibly sweet high-profile romance for over seven years.
After dating for over five years, during which both would frequently gush about the other during interviews and on social media, it became a hot topic about whether they'd ever get married, with the couple frequently having to field questions about any rumored engagements. Then in October 2021, Shelton proposed to Stefani inside a chapel that he'd built himself on his Oklahoma ranch. The news spread that the couple was finally engaged, with Shelton writing on his Instagram post that Stefani saved his 2020.
In July 2021, the couple had their gorgeous wedding at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch, which was officiated by none other than Carson Daly, the host of "The Voice." Since then, the couple has been living in wedded bliss, and they've even occasionally performed together while introducing the other as their husband or wife.
Although Shelton became a wonderful and caring stepfather to Stefani’s children with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, fans of the two singers had been asking when the two were planning to have a child of their own.
Now, a December 2022 article from Life & Style Magazine revealed an alleged significant development in the couple’s highly-talked-about relationship, something that their loyal and loving fans have been waiting for. Read on to know more about what Stefani and Shelton have been up to lately.
Stefani's first relationship in the public eye was with Rossdale, the lead singer, and guitarist of the band Bush. The pair met when No Doubt opened for Bush at a holiday concert in 1995. The couple married in September 2002, but they were not meant to last, and their divorce was finalized in 2016. They welcomed three sons together: Kingston, Zuma and Apollo.
However, when Stefani joined “The Voice” for its seventh season in 2014, she met Shelton, who was at the time also finalizing his divorce from Miranda Lambert. Stefani and Shelton found solace in their shared experience, and Stefani said that because of Shelton, she had hope.
"It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and, like, 'Wow, God, you just don't know what's gonna happen next," Stefani said to Harper’s Bazaar.
The pair started dating soon after, and the world watched as their friendship grew into a romance straight out of a fairy tale. But when the two finally tied the knot, Shelton did not only marry Stefani but also her three sons. Entering fatherhood was a big deal for Shelton, but he continued to embrace the role. According to Life & Style Magazine, it was “scary” for Shelton to balance the role of being a friend to the three boys and being a role model for them.
“It’s one thing for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but you do have to consider after a while that they start to listen to things that you say,” he told the magazine. “There’s a lot of responsibility that comes with that. I don’t know if (being a step-dad is) hard, or harder, or not as hard, as being an actual biological parent.”

It looks like Shelton might finally get the answer to his question, as it's been reported that he is going to be a biological father, as Stefani, 53, is allegedly finally pregnant with their first child after numerous attempts to conceive.
In an article from Life & Style Magazine, an apparent source close to the couple has confirmed that they are expecting. Stefani apparently wanted “nothing more than to give Blake his own child."
The source revealed that the two had failed to conceive naturally, so the “Sweet Escape” singer underwent numerous IVF treatments throughout the years. However, initial attempts were unsuccessful.
“She’d given up on it because it wasn’t working and it was too emotionally grueling, but then she wanted to give it one more try,” the source furthered.
And alas, trying is indeed for the patient and prayerful. After visiting a top specialist in Los Angeles, it seems the two have finally conceived: “Gwen prepared herself – eating healthy, meditating, going to acupuncture sessions. You name it, Gwen did it.”
Now, it seems like the couple is focusing on family life, especially with the arrival of a new addition to the family. Per the source, Shelton “wants a girl," and he has already been hands-on in preparing their Oklahoma ranch – building a crib, doing some nursery DIY and even buying a pink cowboy hat and cowboy boots.
Some eagle-eyed fans spotted the couple's plus one on the red carpet of the NYWICI Matrix Awards on Oct. 26, 2022, as Stefani had what appeared to be a baby bump barely concealed beneath her fitted pink dress.

“Baby bump?? Blake, you’d make a great father!!” another user shared.
"If the rumors turn out to be true, that would be great news! Do you think Blake would be ready to be an amazing father? Let us know, and be sure to pass this on to your family, friends and other loved ones!"
