Searching for a way to communicate and connect with his ailing mother, Kelly turned to the power of music to bring them together. In this touching video, Kelly's mom sits in a chair and begins to strum a guitar. Despite an ailing memory, the lyrics and chords come naturally to her. Kelly sits next to his mother and the two begin to harmonize together, creating a beautiful piece of music that is so much more than just the song. While Alzheimer's may rob its victims of memory and cognitive function, it cannot take away the love of music.

The song choice of "Poor Wayfaring Stranger" is especially touching because of the relevant lyrics that discuss the journey and healing that occurs after life on earth. Kelly's Facebook page has over 60,000 followers and is where he regularly posts videos of him and his mother engaging with music.
