Six Hunky Gentlemen Turn Temperature Way Up For Dance Performance

There is nothing quite like gathering with friends and loved ones and sharing food while having a good time. Be it for a holiday, picnic or summer barbeque, as long as everyone is happy then it doesn’t really matter what you’re celebrating.

During an outdoor gathering in Maui, Hawaii, a group of six men stood up and performed a dance together for an internet challenge that was popular in 2019. It is called “The Git Up” challenge, and the video of the men’s performance is hilarious.

The video starts with six shirtless men, all wearing blue jeans and red cowboy hats, standing together in a line. They each have a drink in hand. Then the anthem of the challenge, Blanco Brown’s country-rap hit “The Git Up,” begins to play. 

The song has a smooth rhythm, and the men begin their routine by swaying their hips. They are a little out of sync at the beginning of the performance, but once they get warmed up, they gain some confidence and the dance picks up.

The song has a series of dance moves associated with it, which consist of the “two-step,” “cowboy boogie” and “hoedown.” The men performed wonderfully despite their lack of practice, and the loud cheers from the crowd showed that it was well-received. The greenery and big open sky behind the men paints a perfect backdrop for such a jaw-dropping performance. 

The six dancers looked like they were having a great time during the dance, and that is what makes the video so fun to watch. Everyone in attendance was smiling, and the energy was infectious. Keep reading to learn more about this hunky dance challenge!

The video was uploaded to YouTube by Allison Lee, and she wrote in the caption: “Shiny men with excellent cardio (specializing in Maui bachelorette parties) perform a mildly rehearsed version of ‘the git up’ to shrieks of delight and excitement.... reports of individuals watching right now cracking up ...#gitupchallenge.”

The song “The Git Up” by Blanco Brown was very popular in 2019, and the dance challenge was performed by people around the U.S., including students and even police officers. The song was featured in over 130,000 TikTok videos that showed fans attempting the dance challenge.

At one point, the routine took a silly turn as the men from the video began to dance with toy horses as they gathered around in a circle. Laughter could be heard among the cheers from the crowd. At another point, someone called out, “That’s my husband!” 

The dance challenge video has over 1.5 million views and 16,000 likes. The comment section is filled with happy viewers. One person wrote, “Let's be honest. These guys could have done ‘I'm a Little Teapot’ and it would have been hot!”

Another user added, “Looks like the folks in Hawaii having a REAL good time!”

Someone else joked that the video took over their plans for the day. They commented, “I Love this. I could watch it all day... In fact, I'm so happy I'm going to watch this all day! Thanks for sharing happy hearts!”

The sun begins to set near the end of the video, and we can’t imagine a more picturesque ending to a joyful performance.
