Jax is a singer and songwriter from the east coast who currently lives in Los Angeles, California. She loves to make pop music and is a nerd at heart, telling dad jokes at every opportunity possible. Her sense of humor has worked in her favor, helping her go viral on the social media platform TikTok several times with her quirky personality and hilarious antics.

According to her website, Jax grew up listening to a lot of rock music, including Janis Joplin, Joan Jett, Alanis Morisette and Paramore. She taught herself how to play piano and was in a band during high school. When she turned 18, she started writing songs, and the rest is history.

While it’s pretty common for singers to write songs about their exes, Jax decided to put her own spin on this and performed a dramatic reading of her cheating ex’s text messages for all of her fans and followers to hear on TikTok. Uploading the musical masterpiece on Nov. 4, 2021, Jax’s performance quickly went viral. She was accompanied by Stirling, who played sad violin music dramatically in the background while Jax read and sang her ex’s text messages aloud.

In the TikTok’s caption, Jax wrote, “Adding sad violins to my ex’s bs apology text featuring the incredible @lindseystirling.” The singer then began reciting everything that her ex had sent her in a text message that read:

“Hey, I know you’re probably never gonna forgive me for what happened, but I wanted a chance to explain. I know it wasn’t right that I ‘technically’ hooked up with your roommate, but I’ve been going through a lot and that’s not who I am.”

A Look Into Her Last Relationship

Jax continued reading the messages:

“I’ve been failing most of my classes and you KNOW I just got fired! So I would really appreciate if you showed me some sort of sympathy and stop making me feel like a villain. Plus, you’ve been really busy at work and I’ve been feeling really alone. I was just really missing you and it was a one time mistake.”

Teaming up with Stirling to deliver the ending, the two sang the last few lines of text messages together. “I love you SO much more than Emily,” they sang. “What am I supposed to tell my family?” Jax ended the reading on her own and said, “I’m sorry OK? Also, did you change the Netflix password?”

Stirling added even more drama by doing some incredible riffs on the violin, adding to the brilliance of the performance. The video was a hit with people on the social media platform, as it garnered more than 4.7 million views, 713,000 likes and 19,000 comments. In the comment section, Jax encouraged her fans and followers to join in on the fun. “Guys comment your ex’s bs texts so we can add sad violins to it!” she said.

Many users left comments expressing their love for Jax’s performance while continuing to point out just how problematic her ex seemed. One user wrote, “My ex told me that no matter how happy I am without him he will always be rotting away from ‘what I did to him’ which was ask him to get therapy.” Another said, “It’s the way he never actually apologized."
