Simone Is Carbon Copy Of Her Father Dwayne Johnson

At just 19 years old, Simone Johnson is already breaking records. The daughter of Dwayne Johnson became the first fourth-generation superstar in WWE history when she signed with them in February. Like father, like daughter much? Here are five facts about The Rock's eldest daughter.

According to CNN, Simone signed with WWE in February. In May, her famous father spoke on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he expressed how proud he was of her achievement. "You know it blows my mind," the Jumanji actor said. "First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps but more importantly — follow in my footsteps sounds cliché — but she actually wants to create and blaze her own path, which is just so important."

"Simone Johnson's unbridled passion and incredible drive [have] earned her a coveted spot training with the elite athletes from around the world at the WWE Performance Center," Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events, and Creative Paul "Triple H" Levesque said in a statement. "Not only does Simone now have an opportunity to cultivate and display her passion for WWE within the Performance Center, but she'll carry on the tradition of her incredible family lineage while creating her own impact as WWE's first fourth-generation Superstar."

Simone is the only daughter of The Rock and his first wife, Dany Garcia, 50. Garcia is Cuban, which makes Simone of Black Canadian, Samoan, and Cuban descent.

According to PEOPLE, Johnson and Garcia separated in 2007. “While certain aspects of our relationship have changed, we are both vitally important to each other’s lives,” their statement had read. “We will continue to advance and manage our business interests, our philanthropic efforts, and most importantly the raising of our child together, as a loving team. We’ve been fortunate enough to spend the last 17 years together as a couple and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together as best friends and business partners.”

When Simone was 16, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association selected her as the Golden Globe Ambassador for the 75th anniversary of the Golden Globe Awards, the first of its kind in 2017.

“I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in a household with strong role models and feel so honored to represent the HFPA for its 75th Anniversary,” Johnson said. She also told The Hollywood Reporter that the platform allows her to be more than just her "parents' daughter and be [her] own person." She also added: "I feel especially blessed and honored that I get to be the first Golden Globes Ambassador and represent this brand-new progressive and special title."

After graduating from high school in 2019, Simone is currently pursuing a business degree at the prestigious New York University. The university is a common destination for celebrities. For example, the university's alumni include Lady Gaga, the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, and Adam Sandler. Her father, who must have been proud, took to Instagram to congratulate her on graduating high school.

"And then your babies graduate," he wrote in the dedication post. "Very proud of my first daughter graduating high school, kickin’ a** and is now NYU bound. I love you and one day you’ll stop pulling away from my beastly arms & kisses."

"Love you. <3 Thank you for coming," Simone replied on Instagram.

The 19-year-old is signed by the same modeling agency as supermodels Karlie Kloss and Bella Hadid. According to South China Morning Post, IMG Models represents the top 10 highest-paid models in the world. According to a tweet by IMG Models, Simone was signed in 2016, which means she was just 15-years-old at that time. We can't wait to see what else is next for The Rock's firstborn! Aside from Simone, who was a child from a previous marriage, The Rock also had children with the singer/songwriter Lauren Hashian. The couple met while on the set of The Game Plan in 2006, according to Showbiz Cheatsheet. Hashian and The Rock have been together since 2006 and have two daughters – Jasmine, born in 2015, and Tiana Gia, born in 2018. Given how successful Simone has been in her relatively short career, we can't wait to see where Jasmine and Tiana Gia end up in a few years.
