Simone Biles’ Luxury Home Is ‘An L.A. House But In Houston’ And Her Adoptive Parents Don’t Like It

With her name perfectly etched in history, Simone Biles will always be known as one of the greatest gymnasts ever to rule the sports scene. The world champion came a long way from her humble beginnings to stardom, and although her childhood was marred by trauma, the star is past all that and is way into her prime years with fame and fortune.

Simone is the proud owner of a 4000-square feet property in Houston in the north of Texas. Planned and executed to her taste, the celebrity gymnast has been flaunting her palatial home since 2020. However, her parents are not really fans of the abode.

While Simone set up her lovely home to what suited her, her life before was not always down to her choice or luxury. Growing up one of four children, Simone and her siblings lived in strife as their birth mom could not look after them. In one of the 2021 episodes of her Facebook Watch series "Simone vs. Herself," Simone's grandmother Nellie Biles revealed that her mother battled drug and alcohol addiction.

Simone revealed that she and her siblings faced hunger growing up, leading them to focus on food. The sportswoman shared, "we didn't have a lot of food." She added:

"I remember there was this cat around the house and I would be so hungry. They would feed this cat and I would be like, 'Where the heck is my food?"

The situation prompted the intervention of social workers after neighbors reported what they saw. The kids were eventually taken into foster care, as Simone relayed she didn't have memories of being taken into the care system.

Simone was quite young when this happened, and in her little mind, she felt, "We had been taken from our biological mom, and then you just think you're going to go back to her."

Foster care did not turn out to be negative in their lives, as Simone and her younger sister Adrian were both taken in by their maternal grandparents, Nellie and Ron Biles. The older siblings, Ashley and Tevin, went to live with their paternal aunt. Although their mom was not in the picture, Simone and her siblings reunited with their family.

The youngster developed her athletic skills and was determined to carve a niche for herself in the sports world. She stopped attending public school to be homeschooled so that she could focus on building her talent and competing professionally.

Years later, Simone actualized her dreams as the recipient of several accolades. The star athlete has several Olympic gold medals and 25 World Championship medals and has appeared in over 30 competitions.

According to the N.Y. Post, the star bought her high-end Houston mansion in 2020 and furnished it to her taste. Per E.S., the home, which sits in a gated community, has been described as "an L.A. house but in Houston" by her colleague, Jordan Chiles. Since moving into the mansion, Simone has shared several snapshots showing off the intricate features.

The property boasts four-bedroom suites, with the primary suite featuring walk-in closets, a bathroom that could serve as a spa and a free-standing tub, and a kitchen with an open plan with sliding glass doors leading to the patio.

Simone's ultra-modern kitchen is designed with marble table finishings, black stools around the breakfast table and crystal light fittings. The living area has wooden floorboards, white walls and windows for natural light. The public figure's home also has a dog wash area for grooming her pet dogs, Lilo and Rambo.

The patio area holds captivating features, including a box-style outdoor lounge. The structure has swings chained to its scaffold and a wide table and small chairs overlooking the large outdoor pool. The infinity-style pool also bears a separate raised hot tub compartment. Months leading up to the pool construction, Simone shared the progress on Instagram, starting from when it was a plastered structure.

While it appears that Simone's pal, Chiles, approves of her stucco home, her parents seem to prefer a different concept. In a 2021 interview with S.I., she revealed her parents' hilarious reaction to her home. She recalled:

"Even now they come over and they're like, This isn't the style of my house I would choose."

Simone noted that she would make sure to remind them that it was her home. When it comes to building homes and making them wholesome, Simone is on that path with her husband and fellow athlete, Jonathan Owens. The couple became man and wife in April 2023. They had exchanged their sacred vows during a destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico. On the big day, the bride stood immaculately in a traditional white lace wedding dress while her beloved father held her hand and led her down the aisle.
