Simon Rolls Eyes When Girl Says She'll Perform Aretha Hit Only To Have Everyone On Their Feet Right Away

Hardly anyone can pull off singing an Aretha Franklin song, well besides Aretha herself. That includes some of the best singers out there. This is why Simon Cowell wasn't too thrilled when Destiny Chukunyere from Malta chose "Think" by Aretha for her audition song for the show "Britain's Got Talent" 2017. At only 14 years old, this was going to be a very challenging task for her to pull off.

This song is very complex due to the rhythm, lyrics, and the range of notes. This is one of the most challenging songs in music history. But Destiny wasn't shying away. She was ready to take on the challenge and to show everyone just how serious she was about her singing career.

After finishing the song, it didn't take any time at all to see how everyone felt about her performance. The audience along with all of the judges got to their feet with a very appreciative standing ovation.

Simon didn't have any criticism or harsh words–he only had praise for her. He even went as far as to give her some of the ultimate compliments by talking about how he had waited for a long time to see someone who he thought could actually be a star. And how he had finally found that person.

It's no surprise that all four of the judges said "yes" to her audition. Destiny graciously accepted her pass onto the next level with nothing but smiles all around.

Destiny is a very talented girl. Not just anyone can pull off this Aretha song like she did. She is definitely going somewhere with her singing career.
