Simon Cowell Surprised With Special Guest: One Of The Dogs He Rescued From The Slaughterhouse

Simon Cowell is best known as a talent judge for several popular TV shows. More specifically, he is known as being tough and brutally blunt when he speaks to contestants.
While he may seemingly have a rather cold heart on air, the reality is that Simon Cowell is compassionate and works hard to actively make a positive difference in the world. His philanthropy was highlighted when one of his rescue dogs made a cameo appearance on Good Morning Britain recently.
Cowell’s Support of Humane Society International
In South Korea, dogs are sometimes slaughtered in dog meat farms. After being slaughtered, they are sold at meat markets, prepared in dishes, and eaten. This has deeply touched Cowell, and he has devoted a tremendous amount of money to fight back against this practice.
In 2018, he donated $32,640 of his own funds to support Humane Society International’s battle against dog slaughterhouses, according to People.

Cowell’s Personal Impact
Cowell feels strongly that dogs are good friends to humans. Because of this, eating a dog is akin to eating your friend. Through his financial donation, Cowell has personally saved more than 200 dogs from horrible cruelty in slaughterhouses, People reports.
On Good Morning Britain, Cowell openly discussed his hope of eventually shutting down the cruel activities associated with the dog meat trade.
A Surprise Guest
When Cowell agreed to appear on Good Morning Britain with host Pip Tomson, he did not realize that his selfless gesture had touched her personally. In the middle of the interview, she introduced Cowell to her own puppy.
She then revealed that this was one of the puppies that Cowell’s financial donation had saved. At the end of the segment, Cowell held the puppy and thanked the host for adopting the puppy. He said that adopting these dogs was an essential part of keeping them out of the dog meat market.
Simon Cowell may be known for cutting to the chase and being blunt with his contestants. However, his compassion for all living things is clear through his support of Humane Society International.
