Simon Cowell Says He Will "Eat The Table" If Opera Singer On AGT Doesn't Move On

Emanne Beasha is a 10-year-old opera singer who knew just what to do to impress the judges on America’s Got Talent. Her emotional voice left some of the judges dabbing away tears when she was finished.

Emanne sang a rendition of the piece “'Ebben? Ne andrò lontana” from the opera La Wally by Alfredo Catalani. Her voice carried all the way through the Dolby Theater, demonstrating that she has a maturity that goes way beyond her years. Judge Simon Cowell told her that he felt as though he was watching the Olympics and that he was just “gobsmacked” by her voice.

Cowell even said, "If you don't get through, I will eat this judging table." Before Emanne went up on the stage, she talked to the cameras about her love of opera. She said that for her, the world transforms and her journey begins when she closes her eyes to sing. She explained it as being magical. She also pointed out to the audience that every song has a story to tell.

The star from North Port, Florida said that she herself felt as though she was a character in an opera song when she first got the golden buzzer. She went on to say that she didn’t want this dream to end.

Emanne was among a few contestants that night who impressed the judges and you can see why if you watch her for yourself.
