Simon Breaks Down On Live TV During Emotional 'America's Got Talent' Performance
Sep 04, 2018 by apost team
Can you picture Simon Cowell crying? The infamously tough judge is better known for harsh criticisms than emotional reactions. It’s hard to think of him having something nice to say, let alone crying after a performance.
The producers of “America’s Got Talent” finally found a singer who can break through Simon’s shell. Michael Ketterrer has the voice of angel, but it’s his angelic actions that really broke Simon.

Michael isn’t chasing fame for himself. He’s the adoptive father of six children, many of whom have special needs. Caring for that many kids costs a lot of money, especially when they need therapy and medical appointments.
Michael works as a pediatric mental health nurse. That means he helps children with mental disabilities and illnesses all day long. He still doesn’t earn enough to care for his entire family, so he went on “America’s Got Talent.”
If Michael wins, it won’t just change his life; it will change the lives of his six kids, too. Maybe that’s why this amazing singer can channel so much emotion and vulnerability into his voice.
He knows what he’s really singing for.
How will you feel after listening to his voice? After his beautiful performance, all six judges were on their feet. ATG host Tyra Banks tried to talk to Simon. Cowell was too choked up with emotion to speak.
When he finally spoke, Simon praised Michael’s work as a father. He said Michael is a “really, really special guy” with something special to bring to the table. Then Tyra reminded everyone that Simon is a devoted father himself.
Did you know that Cowell was a dad?
How do you think he acts around his children? Maybe he lets down the tough guy persona and shows some love. Simon wasn’t the only host who cried. Mel B also shed a few tears! She called Michael incredible, while Heidi said he was a great model for men everywhere.
What do you think of Michael’s performance?
