Ozzy Osbourne, popularly referred to as the “Godfather of Metal,” is renowned for being a member of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. He was a founding member of the band, which began in 1968 but pursued a solo career after being kicked out of the band.
Ozzy had a drug and alcohol addiction which affected his performance, and in 1979, the band fired him. However, the musician went on to have a successful career alone because of his manager and wife, Sharon Osbourne’s help. Ozzy eventually reconciled with his former bandmates and rejoined in 1997.
Sharon and Ozzy had a cat and dog relationship before they fell in love and tied the knot in 1982. However, the duo has worked things out in their relationship and seems to have the perfect marriage nowadays.
Coupled with managing her husband’s music career, Sharon also manages other talents through her management company. She wears many hats as an American TV personality, former talk show host and former judge on “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent.” In addition, the manager is a successful author whose autobiography made it to the bestseller list and became the most successful female autobiography to be sold.
Other than holding a record for her autobiography, Sharon has also had a lot of plastic surgeries on her face and body. However, despite performing multiple plastic surgeries, the TV personality disclosed to The Sun in an interview published on April 24, 2023, that she would not be doing anymore. Continue reading to know why Sharon decided to end having cosmetic procedures done.
When many people think of Sharon Osbourne, they picture a vibrant red-haired woman. The star has been rocking the look pretty consistently since 2002. The only change in those decades was Sharon tooling with the intensity of the red or adding other colors to the mix. However, the star threw fans for a loop back in 2020 when she debuted a new look.
In February of that year, Sharon debuted silvery locks on Instagram, shocking fans. Her colorist, Jack Martin, described the result as a "complete transformation." Revealing his handiwork in a side-by-side photo comparison, Martin unveiled the changed look of the former co-host of "The Talk.” Martin touched upon her motivation in his caption, writing, "Sharon has 100% white hair, and she was coloring her hair once a week dark vibrant red for the past 18 years."
He also spoke about the pressures she, as well as other women in Hollywood, face when it comes to maintaining a specific image. Martin wrote, "Sharon was very tired of coloring her hair once a week and was obligated to since she is on TV almost every day hosting her popular TV show @thetalkcbs.” With Martin's help, it seemed she'd finally taken the plunge. In preparing her, Martin said, "I didn't promise Sharon anything but I told her I will try my best."
Sharon appeared distinguished in her hairdo. It was undoubtedly a big change for her and her fans —seemingly so significant that she had to go back to her signature red! Sharon debuted the return to her (colored) roots on “The Talk.” She explained her decision to revert back. Later, Osbourne also posted the segment on her Instagram. She captioned the vid with: "What color should I try next? 🌈"

According to Page Six, Sharon’s look has changed quite a bit over the years. Looking through photos, it was not always so obvious what Sharon could have possibly changed, but the outlet said that she had gotten a facelift in 2019.
“It was five weeks (ago) today that I had my operation. And I had my neck done, my jowls,” Sharon explained at the time. “They kind of pulled it from the top of my head … but everything was just lifted up. So, it looks more refreshed.”
In March 2023, Sharon surprised fans yet again when she posted a series of photos on Instagram. In the photos, fans could see Sharon spending time with her extended family. According to PEOPLE, Sharon is a grandma to Jack Osbourne’s children, Pearl, Andy, Minnie and Maple, and Kelly Osbourne’s son Sydney.
However, the star also looked quite different. While she still had her trademark hair, she appeared to be thinner and went makeup free. People noticed that her face shape looked less square as well. While some people praised Sharon for simply being her “true self,” others were concerned as she looked “very unwell.”
Sharon has also been involved in controversy over the years. She has not shied away from it either. While talking about cancel culture and the ups and downs in her life, she told The Times:
“Everyone is scared of saying something wrong. It’s no way to live.”
The media personality faced cancel culture in 2021 when she defended her friend, Piers Morgan. Morgan had put out a statement that he did not “believe a word” of what the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, said in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Sharon Osbourne (2016), (Alex Huckle/Getty Images Entertainment via Getty Images)"I feel even like I’m about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist, so that makes me a racist. What’s it got to do with me? How can I be racist about anybody?" Sharon said during the conversation.
"I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth,” she infamously tweeted as she expressed her support for Morgan.
Following an investigation into her statement, Sharon left “The Talk,” where she had worked for 11 years as a co-host, on March 26, 2021. Sharon’s co-host, Sheryl Underwood, had accused her of validating her friend’s racist beliefs.
Sharon has since doubled down her stance on Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan. In her documentary, “Sharon Osbourne: To Hell and Back,” she vocalized her frustrations even more on the backlash she received at her workplace and online from “woke” people just for expressing her opinions.
Expounding more on her four-part docuseries that was released on Fox Nation, Sharon sat with The New York Post for a lengthy conversation about what she claimed to be her critics.

I’m not talking about hate groups — they are the worst in the world — but we need to let people have opinions,” she pointed out. “If our opinions get taken away, we might as well be living in China. (Woke people) tell you what to say and how to behave. If that is how you want to live your life, good for you. But it ain’t for me."
Still part of her discussion with the Post, Sharon described “woke” people as “born-agains.”
"It’s like a religion. The woke people, they are entitled to opinions; God bless them, even though they bore me to death — but the rest of us are not. They have a new word every day, and a new campaign every day, and if anyone goes against it … what? We’re the devil? They certainly act like we are,” she furthered.
Amid the opposition, Ozzy stood by his wife and defended her. He took to Instagram in March 2021 and uploaded a photo of himself and Sharon. In the caption, he wrote, “I can’t f***ing hear you! #TeamSharon.”
The couple’s relationship wasn’t always a fairytale, though, as they also went through plenty of hardships. There was a time in 2016 when the pair separated after Sharon found out that her husband cheated on her with six women in different countries.
According to PEOPLE, Sharon then decided to publicly forgive her longtime lover.
"We never gave up on each other… I wasn't a saint. Ozzy wasn't a saint. I gave him as good as he gave me. We're just meant to be,” the talk show host said.
She also added that she respected her husband again as he was trying to become a better person after the cheating allegations made rounds online.
In a 2022 interview with The Independent, Ozzy opened up about the secret to his and Sharon's relationship. “Love, I suppose,” he said. “If it wasn’t for Sharon, I’d be dead," in reference to the various addictions that have plagued him throughout his life.

To express his sincerest apologies, Ozzy revealed that he would make a grand gesture to his wife by buying her expensive jewelry.
“After a big, crazy fight, I go out and buy her a diamond ring or a necklace,” he told the outlet at the time. Sharon also agreed as she responded, "Yeah, they love him at Tiffany’s."
Moving forward in their relationship, Ozzy proved that he would be there to support his wife during tough times. After critics slammed Sharon for her plastic surgeries, the musician disclosed that he didn’t mind and loved her whichever way she looked.
Even after Ozzy told off his wife’s critics, Sharon was on Dr. Phil’s show in 2006 and discussed her plastic surgeries with him. Upon the host’s prodding to share what she had already disclosed in her book, the mom of three said:
“I’ve had my boobies done twice. I’ve had facelifts, neck done, haven’t had anything done to my eyes or lips — I never wanted those lippies.”
Sharon also revealed that she did her arms, legs, tummy and bum. When the host asked if it hurt, she replied:
“Oh, it hurt, but again there’s no gain without pain, and anything you do, nothing comes without a price.”
However, this wasn’t the last time that Sharon had to speak out about her change in appearance as people continued to bash her for her looks in the years that followed.
Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne (2017), (Greg Doherty/Getty Images Entertainment via Getty Images)Sharon decided to put a stop to beauty obtained by pain and disclosed this in an interview with The Sun published on April 24, 2023. The reality TV personality said her last facelift, which she got in 2021, left her looking like a cyclops.
“That one put me off and it frightens me,” she confessed during the interview. “I really f***ing pushed it with the last facelift and I am now like, no more.”
Sharon added, “Time is against me, I cannot have another facelift.”
Although Ozzy offered to pay for another surgery to correct it, the former talk show host declined the offer.
Sharon previously disclosed on "The Talk" that she was getting more plastic surgeries because she didn’t want to look like her mom. However, the result of the surgery was far from pleasant, and the subsequent surgery in 2021 only made things worse. When fans saw her in an Instagram post she made in June 2023, they thought she looked unwell because she was very thin.
“Why do they feel they need to lose that much weight?” a follower asked.
A second commented, “Oh she doesn’t look well, look at Sharon’s face she looks ill......😢,” while another wrote she looked "too thin."
A fourth person opined, “SHE USED TO LOOK GOOD BUT WITH ALL HER PLASTIC SURGERY SHE LOST HER GOOD LOOKS.”
A subsequent post on Instagram in July 2023 saw Sharon coming under fire again when critics condemned her lips. The best-selling author was with her daughter, Kelly, and two others in the frame.

Another follower wrote, “Don’t like the big lips 👄 sorry guys but looks fake and fishy looking.”
“Big lips, sink ships,” a third commented, while a fourth follower teased, “Sharon with the botox 😎.”
It was evident that fans found Sharon’s shrinking frame and pronounced facial features troubling. Despite fans criticizing Sharon’s appearance, the personality found support in her corner. Ozzy revealed that he loved his spouse’s inner being above all else, and that was all he cared about. As per the Irish Examiner, he said:
“I just loved her. I love to hear her laugh; she's got the best laugh – it's just infectious.”
Ozzy continued and even likened his wife to former mod supermodel Twiggy, as many people continued to criticize Sharon for her lean figure. "Whether my wife is the size of this house or as skinny as Twiggy's left leg, it's the person I love, not the look,” Ozzy explained.
The rock star spoke to the contrary as well and said, "People must have gone, 'What does Ozzy Osbourne see in an overweight girl? Why hasn't he got some floozy; a blonde like a Rod Stewart kind of wife?’ But there you've got the answer to the question. How many times have I been married and how many times have other people been married?"
Despite all of the ups and downs the couple has faced, it’s clear that Sharon and Ozzy have stood by each other and have endured any challenges or negativity thrown their way.
