Rumer Willis Sizzles In Her ‘Hot Mom’ Bikini Era After Giving Birth

Rumer Willis is the first daughter of widely acclaimed actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore and has followed their steps by becoming an actress. Bruce is, however, no longer in the acting scene as he announced his retirement on March 30, 2022, due to his health struggles. Bruce had been diagnosed with aphasia in March 2022, and while his family and fans were still struggling to deal with it, the actor was diagnosed with dementia in February 2023. 

Bruce has been married twice and has five daughters from his two marriages, first to actress Demi Moore and then to model Emma Heming in 2009. Lucky for him, his blended family care for one another and have worked together to care for him while keeping themselves happy through their trying period.  

With the Willis family in great need of some joy in their lives from Bruce’s health issues, the news of Rumer expecting her baby was a much-welcome development, and the family has shown their joy over it in many ways since then.

On April 18, 2023, Rumer gave birth to Bruce and Moore’s first grandchild. In an Instagram post announcing her birth, Rumer delighted her followers, friends, and family members with the first photo of her beautiful daughter. 

Since then, she has updated her followers on social media about her daughter, Louetta Isley, and how she goes through with motherhood. Her followers and fans have also become delighted with how her parents took an active role in raising the first-ever grandchild of the Willis-Moore-Heming household.

Bruce married Moore in 1987, and the two biggest Hollywood stars of that era had three daughters together: Rumer, Scout Willis and Tallulah Willis. Although the couple was regarded as a powerhouse, they ended up divorcing in 2000 but have remained good friends and great co-parents ever since.

Rumer has gone on to become a star in her own right. Born on Aug. 16, 1988, Rumer grew up with a similar love for the entertainment industry, just like her famous parents. She has appeared in films and TV shows, including "Hostage," "The House Bunny," "Sorority Row," "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," and "90210."

With Bruce experiencing memory loss, among many other health bouts, the Willis household was in need of some light in their lives. The blessing finally came in the form of Rumer announcing her impending bundle of joy. On Dec. 20, 2022, Rumer took to social media to announce her impending pregnancy with her partner, Derek Richard Thomas, with a carousel of black and white photos. One photo showed Thomas giving Rumer's baby bump a kiss, and another with his face full of joy and excitement. A third photo showed Rumer's silhouette with the bump in full view as she stood by a window.

The child would be Bruce and Moore's first grandchild. The photos were reposted by proud mom Moore, who delightfully captioned her post, "Entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era 🌱"

In March 2023, Rumer and Thomas had a baby shower in Los Angeles that was thrown by Moore, Scout and Tallulah, as reported by PEOPLE. The parents-to-be performed together at the intimate party.

During an appearance on the "Bathroom Chronicles" podcast in February 2023, Rumer revealed that being a mom was something she always wanted.

"It's like one of those weird things that I know sometimes people have such clarity about, like 'Oh, I want to be a musician, I want this,' and it was never a question for me that I wanted to be a mom," she said. 

She added, "And that just felt like such a divine purpose and something that when I started thinking about it, felt like such joy." The expectant mom said she had spoken to Thomas about her excitement for special moments she would be able to share with her baby.

"I was talking to my partner the other day and saying, 'You know, when I go to the farmers market, I call it church because I leave and I feel so excited,'" she said. "And the idea of being able to bring my kids in like a little cart or something brings me so much delight, I can't even ... I can't wait."

On April 5, 2023, Rumer sat down with PEOPLE to talk about the impending birth that she said had given her family a welcome boost during such a challenging time. She said she hoped her child would be imbued with the same "goofiness" inherent in her family.

"We're a family of weirdos, and I love that so much. I really hope that that is engendered in this child. That's my favorite thing, laughing with my family," she told the outlet.

Rumer also said she chose not to know the sex of the baby ahead of the birth, but did plan to follow in her mother's footsteps and opted for a home birth as “that's how my mom did it.”

In the same interview with PEOPLE, Rumer said she and her partner also agreed to choose an "interesting, unique and different" name for the baby, particularly seeing the names she and her sisters were given. 

"But then there's a part of me too, that I feel like I have to see (the baby). It's such a weird sensation where you're like, 'I love this kid, this little person so much,' but I don't necessarily know them,' so I have to see who they are and see if that fits," she said.

No matter the name, Rumer knew she could always count on the love and support of her big, blended family.

The actress also mentioned how lucky she was to be surrounded by such a loving and supportive family. 

"It's so fun to be bringing in the first grandkid in our family, especially because we're such a huge group at this point. … We haven't had a little tiny baby in our family in a while. … I'm so grateful that I'm so close with my family that I get to rely on them for support," she remarked. 

On April 18, 2023, Rumer finally gave birth to Bruce's first grandchild. In an Instagram post announcing her birth, Rumer delighted her followers, friends, and family members with the first photo of her beautiful daughter. 

“✨ Louetta Isley Thomas Willis ✨ You are pure magic 🌱,” Rumer wrote in the caption. "Born at home on Tuesday Apr. 18. You are more than we ever dreamed of ✨"

Louetta's first photo was nothing but angelic. Sleeping with one of her hands up to her head and one under her chin, she looks cute with her dark hair. Nestled in a cream-knitted pillow, little Louetta is covered with a woven coffee-colored blanket across her chest. 

Her cuteness is undeniable in the said photo, sending some of her relatives' hearts fluttering at the sight of her. 

Rumer's step-mother, Hemming, commented on the post: "Omg we love her so so much 😍😍😍😍😍" Moore, on the other hand, confessed her love for her first grandchild in the same post:

"Pure love for this little birdie ❤️." 

"Hi my tiny petal. We missed you so much for so long. I'll love you every moment of every day! Youre kooky aunts are obsessed with you," Tallulah, Rumer's sister, commented on the post. 

Bruce met little Louetta soon after her birth — and it was a moment full of pure joy, according to a source who spoke to OK! Magazine.

The source explained that Bruce “lit up when he held little Lou,” and that “it was such an emotional moment — so many feelings. Rumer was in tears. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was beautiful and bittersweet."

The source added, “Bruce’s health battle has been very difficult for everyone, but meeting his first grandchild brought the entire family even that much closer. Rumer couldn’t wait — she brought the baby to her dad right away.”

The source continued:

"It felt as if Bruce had received a boost of energy. He didn't say this, but it's like his granddaughter gave him a reason to fight even harder. The power of pure love in that moment was very intense. Everyone felt it."

On Father’s Day 2023, Rumer finally gave the world a glimpse of Bruce and her daughter together in a heartfelt Instagram tribute. She shared two photos of Bruce, one of which showed him cradling then 2-month-old Louetta by a pool. The other showed Bruce and Rumer side by side as she held Louetta – who seemed transfixed by her grandfather – in her arms. 

“Seeing my father hold my daughter today was something I will treasure for the rest of my life. His sweetness and love for her was so pure and beautiful. Papa I’m so lucky to have you and so is Lou. Thank you for being the silliest, most loving, coolest Daddio a girl could ask for. Best Girl Dad in the game….” Rumer wrote in the caption.

The second half of the Instagram slideshow featured pictures of her partner, Thomas, for whom she dedicated a touching message to as well. She wrote:

“I’m so grateful our girl has a papa that loves her so much and someone so goofy and weird so she knows that’s ok for her to be too. Thank you for the greatest girl I could imagine in my wildest dreams.”

Fans were moved by the endearing photos. One user commented, “That second picture when she looks at her Grandad that’s the one - totally amazing and doesn’t even know how much the world loves him,” while another wrote, “That pic of Lou looking at your Dad, Priceless! She knows how much she is loved and how much love she will (already has) give him. The love we have for a grandchildren is unexplainable!”

After giving birth, Rumer demonstrated that becoming a parent wasn’t enough to stop her from putting on a sexy look. On Aug. 10, 2023, she posted some Instagram snaps featuring her sister, Scout. 

“Entering my Hot 🌶️ Mom Thirst Trap Era,” she captioned the post before she added, “I put a few rad looks together with @freepeople today. So excited to see what you think.”

The mom of one wore a white tube top and pink jacket, which she paired with big white shades, a silver nose ring and a gold necklace. Her hand ran through her blonde hair in the pictures. In the second slide, Scout posed with her sister, wearing brown shades and a green sweater. 

Fans of the actress gushed over the pictures. One user commented:

“People sometimes have this misconception that us women can't be sexy after becoming a Mom. That's so not true!! 🤣🤣 I rocked the hot momma look all through my 30s and 40s. These days I rock the rock'n' roll momma look. ❤️❤️.”

“Wow you look amazing, motherhood sure does suit you! ❤️🔥,” another said. A third user echoed the sentiment and remarked, “You are channeling Pamela Anderson there although you maybe too young to know who she is ❤️”

A month earlier, Rumer had shared a video showing her embracing motherhood as she enjoyed quiet moments with her baby indoors and outside in the sunshine and under the shade of trees. Fans were thrilled by Rumer’s natural transformation into motherhood, with one user commenting:

“Best version of you we have ever seen. You have found yourself. It’s so beautiful to see ❤️”

Making the case that becoming a mother doesn’t mean being automatically relegated to the invisible club, Rumer has taken to social media with a flourish, flaunting her radiant and sexy new look. For Rumer, being a mother doesn’t mean she should also skip feeling beautiful about herself.

Since welcoming her first child, the eldest of all the Willis sisters has been serving fans with hot looks on Instagram. For the 2023 Fourth of July celebration, she posted two pictures of herself wearing a green bikini top and light brown shades. Her long mermaid-like blonde hair fell in waves across her neck. In the second slide, her dog lay on her lap, its face hidden. 

“Happy 4th from Me and my Cans 🍈🍈,” she wrote in the caption. 

Fans of Rumer showered her with love and adoration, while some even went so far as to express a pang of envy on her bustling bosom. 

“I love you Ru! And your beautiful amazing baby feeders! 😂🙌❤️,” actress Jackie Seiden wrote in the comments.

“Right on sexy mama!! We women can do anything!!” another comment read.

“Look… the baby has to eat and it’s great that you are getting enough milk.. that’s great!” a fan shared while another wrote, “One of your greatest looks 👀 🔥.. the hairstyle, color, just a natural gaze, and figure.. 10 for sure ✅” 

However, the photos also reminded some of Rumer’s fans about their younger days, forcing them to wax nostalgic about the past. “I remember that. Breast fed 4 kids. They aren't up anymore. But that's ok,” one fan lamented.
