Royal Children Sulking: Prince George, Prince Louis And More Sweet Snapshots

Aug 11, 2021 by apost team

All children go through the stage where they lose their patience and throw temper tantrums. This is, of course, also true for the royal children, who are still children after all. Even though when they get older they will be expected to behave a certain way at events and gatherings, until that day there are plenty of moments caught on camera of royal children sulking and just generally not getting their way.

If you think it is only your children who have meltdowns in public, don’t worry because you are not alone. When it comes to the royal family, everything is on a grander scale, which means a bigger audience for those minor breakdowns that all kids go through while developing.

We are used to seeing cute smiles and bright eyes, but there are also a number of times when a frown or teary eye has been seen on a royal child’s face. These moments are relatable to any parent and offer us a look into how the family handles these situations.

In this set of photos, we’ll also see some expert parenting by royal mums like Kate Middleton and the late Princess Diana, who both seem to know how to calm a child’s outburst of sadness, anger or frustration.

It turns out that there are dozens of photos like these, capturing sulking royal kids from Prince Harry to Prince George, who might very well be king one day.

Keep reading to see more funny moments of the royal children throwing temper tantrums and looking moody.

In this first photo, we see Mia Tindall, the daughter of Mike and Zara Tindall, with her bottom lip pushed out in an adorable way back in 2017. The photo was taken at the Burnham Market Horse Trials.

Prince George

Here we have a rather unhappy Prince George, the eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. It’s not clear why little George was so upset, but it could be that spending the day doing royal duties with his parents wasn't his first choice activity. The picture was snapped while the family was visiting the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in July 2016.

Princess Charlotte

Uh oh. Every eye was on Princess Charlotte in this photo and her unhappy demeanor during Queen Elizabeth II's birthday Trooping the Colour parade. Charlotte's cousin, Savannah Phillips, did her best to cheer the little princess up. She tried to soothe her by holding on to her arm, but it doesn’t seem to be much of a help, unfortunately.

Prince Louis

Look at that pout! Louis’ adorable scrunched-up face is probably due to the crowds outside of Buckingham Palace at Trooping the Colour. Any young child would likely have a similar reaction. And we have to admit, the prince still looks extremely cute. We are impressed he is not having more of an extreme reaction to being surrounded by so many people.

Here is another look at young Mia Tindall appearing quite unhappy at the Festival of British Eventing at Gatcombe Park in August 2015. Her mother smiles as her daughter cries in her arms. Mia is likely tired from a busy day. Every parent has been in this situation before and can sympathize!

Here is another teary-eyed child — this time it's the sweet Princess Charlotte who looks like she took a tumble and is being comforted by her mother, Duchess Kate. The family was out on the tarmac while visiting an Airbus factory during an official visit to Poland and Germany in July of 2017. It's worth noting that the whole situation was handled perfectly by Kate as she got down on Charlotte's level and managed to calm her with ease.

Prince George

Young Prince George looks like he would rather be doing anything else than watching the military parade at Trooping the Colour back in 2017. Nobody can expect a kid to smile all of the time, but it is pretty funny to see him not even try to look interested. To be fair, there are likely not many kids that would enjoy it in his place.

Prince Harry

Oh no, Prince Harry! The young prince is pictured here having a cry and looking heartbroken as he sits with mother Princess Diana. The family was on vacation with the Spanish royal family at the Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca in July 1988. It is unclear why Harry is crying, but his mom seems to be doing a great job soothing him.

The eldest son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Prince William, does not look pleased in this old picture from Trooping the Colour. He has his face scrunched up as if he saw something upsetting; we wonder what it could have been! The young prince still looks like he is doing his best to behave despite whatever bothered him.

Zara Tindall

A young Zara Tindall walks with her mother, Princess Anne, in August 1985 during a visit to Scrabster in Scotland. Zara has a worried expression on her face and looks to be deep in thought. Her mother is smiling and maybe trying to reassure her daughter. In the background of the photo, we can see Prince Harry, Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
