For a lot of people, roller skating is a fun pastime that they can enjoy doing with friends or groups of people.

Occasionally, there is one person who starts viewing skating as more than just fun – it becomes a way of life for them and an opportunity to show off their amazing talents.

Luna Casaretto is one young woman whose love for roller blade skating has become a part of her daily life, and it’s no wonder why! With her stunning skills, she can make the most devoted skater drop their jaw in awe.

Luna is a member of a group called the MAGMA PATINAJE ARTISTICO based in Spain, which is a figure skating club devoted specifically to those that roller skate. While many people are used to ice skating clubs, this one is a unique way to show talents off the ice.

Luna has been around for years and one of her most-watched videos is a performance of her skating along to Whitney Houston’s song “I Will Always Love You”. Taking to a gymnasium floor, Luna gets a round of applause as the video starts and she makes her way across the floor using her skates to guide her.

Just like an ice skater, Luna gets down on the floor and waits for her moment to shine. As soon as Whitney Houston’s familiar voice begins the popular song, Luna is ready to start. Even as she is getting to her feet, Luna is already showcasing her talents, kicking her legs over her head as she rises.

Once Luna is on her feet, it’s time for her real ability to break forth. She begins to glide across the floor and then, to the surprise of the viewers, jumps off the floor to give a magnificent spin in the air! She continues to make her way across the floor, even skating on one leg and spinning in circles.

At the end of the performance, the entire auditorium is applauding as the audience is completely wowed by her skills. While it’s hard to imagine being able to skate like a professional ice skater, the performance that Luna gives in roller skates seems even more difficult.

Watch the video for yourself and see what you think. Does this look more or less difficult to ice skating to you? I think that this needs to become a new Olympic sport!
