Robin Williams' Youngest Son Has Wedding On His Late Father's Birthday

Cody Williams married Maria Flores on Sunday, July 21st, on what would have been Robin William’s 68th birthday. It seems the late actor's son has turned what would've been a sad day of relfection into a joyous time of celebration for the family. 

According to People, the wedding took place in the home the actor and his ex-wife Marsha Garces Williams raised their two children Zelda and Cody. The publication stated that the newlyweds had also fallen in love 6 years prior in the same estate, which made the location all the more appropriate.

The wedding included a tribute to Cody’s late father and cousin, as well as Maria’s late grandfather, her aunt, and other family members who have passed away.

Cody’s sister Zelda, 29, took to Instagram to post a little tribute of her own to her beloved father as well as the happy couple. She wrote: 

“The 21st of July has meant many things to me over the years. It’s the birthday of one of my favorite souls still on this earth, @junotemple. It’s the day Neil Armstrong stepped on the moon (as a space nerd, that’s pretty damn important)...

...And it was the day my Dad was born, and the last day I got to see him. That last one had begun to usurp the joy of the first two in recent years... that is, until two days ago, when it became something new. On the 21st of July, 2019, it became the day I officially gained a new sister!”

Robin Williams died on August 11th, 2014 in his Californian home by taking his own life. Just last week, his son Zak Williams opened up to Good Morning Britain about his father’s struggle with mental illness. Hollywood has never been the same since the loss of Williams. His death was a true tragedy, but we are happy his children still actively keep his memory alive today.
