Some people just don't look old, do they? For most people, they have always associated Ringo Starr's name with the iconic band The Beatles. Well, who wouldn't have? He is a key member of the group, after all!
A photo of the ex-The Beatles member has resurfaced, showcasing his hip and cool side, something that many people don't recognize in the always classy and suited-up singer. The 1970s were more than five decades ago, but it seems like Ringo isn't aging and still looks like he is in his prime!
Ringo Starr, formally known as Richard Starkey, was born on Jul. 7, 1940. He was the famed drummer and part-time vocalist of one of the best-selling bands of all time, The Beatles.
Brian Epstein, their manager, fired Pete Best from the band in the early 1960s to give way to Starr to helm the drums. John Lennon initially invited him to the band.
Lennon, Starr, Paul McCartney, and George Harrison's careers skyrocketed and met worldwide acclaim, making them the best-selling music act of all time, with estimated sales of 600 million units worldwide, according to BBC.
After the band's breakup in the 1970s, Starr created a name of his own as a solo artist. He has numerous chart leaders both in the United States and in the United Kingdom throughout his career-spanning discography.
But while his music became a large part of his artistry, Starr has also become notable because of his iconic looks and fashion sense that he has continued to exhibit up until now, when he is already in his eighties.
According to GQ Magazine, Ringo Starr has been the leading model of menswear for more than six decades. His style was characterized by his sharp outfits from the 1960s until he transitioned to wearing more of a flamboyant style in the 1970s.
Starr has worn a lot of pinstriped trousers – even in the scorching heat of the summer sun. It made a lot of sense at the time, as everyone was so invested in wearing a lot of formal wear, even at casual events – and for The Beatles, that became one of their trademark looks.
Partnered with trousers are sharp collars but not just on suits, but even on casual shirts. For the Beatles drummer, he usually wears it with a slick black tie.
In regards to adding more layers to his outfits, Starr may have pioneered the accessory sensation – starting with the squared eyeglasses. The spectacle was part of the overall ensemble of a 1970s Ringo Starr.
Meanwhile, Inside Hook says that turtlenecks are also a trademark of the drummer. Arguably, this look is one of the most widely-worn pieces of the drummer, especially if it's paired with corduroy trousers, an alternative to the pinstripe trousers he usually dons.
Prints are also a thing back then that has continued to transcend over time, specifically polka dots. Starr's flamboyance has emanated through his patterns – something that has been described to be a "winning recipe" for a confident and unique style.
Forty years down the road, Starr has managed to still bring his own sense of style up to the 2022s.

Last August 2022, Ringo Starr was snapped leaving a shopping mall in Malibu, Los Angeles, wearing a particularly unique style – a piece that might have strayed away from his rock star and sleek formal outfits.
Starr, now in his eighties, seems to be the epitome of the mantra "age is just a number," considering how young, perky, and hip his outfit looked.
According to Daily Mail, the rock icon recently celebrated his 82nd birthday with his wife, Barbara Bach, at his annual Peace and Love bash at Beverly Hills Garden Park.
In his photo during the birthday bash, he was seen donning another staple of his early 70s style, a sharp-collared white denim jacket, a piece he had worn mostly with his plain turtleneck, tape belt, and a gold chain bracelet.
While everyone would think that the rockstar outfit would just be the usual style of Starr for the rest of his career, everyone was surprised to see what he was wearing during the August supermarket trip.
His wife, Barbara, opted for a more sporty look – a floaty black blouse and black skinny jeans paired with white sneakers.
As for Ringo, some would have described his outfit as "tacky," but for others – the outfit made sense because of his rather bold style. He dons an insect-printed bandana and black and white printed polo, partnered with a neon-green lined tracksuit and white, blue, and red sneakers.
Undeniably, Ringo Starr has been a fashion icon throughout the decades – although trends come and go, his signature bold confidence and charisma are what weave his artistry and sense of style together.
