Jul 26, 2021 by apost team

Congratulations are in order for the Spencer family! Kittle Spencer, Princess Diana's niece, has married billionaire Michael Lewis in a gorgeous ceremony in Italy on June 24, 2021. 30-year-old Kitty is the eldest child of Earl Charles Spencer and has been known for inheriting her late aunt's beauty.

Kitty's beauty was enchanting during her wedding as she wore a breathtakingly intricate and luxurious Dolce & Gabbana dress. Tatler reported that Kitty is already a global ambassador for Dolce & Gabbana, and she went to the Italian designers almost as soon as she got engaged to design her signature gown. The beautiful dress was a Victorian-inspired piece with a high neck and a cinched waist. Suffice to say, Kitty looked stunning on her big day.

Kitty has kept her romance under wraps for quite a while, so her wedding to the 62-year-old South African business mogul might have come as a surprise to many people. The wedding was a rather spectacular event and attended by many high-profile guests. However, neither Prince William nor Prince Harry were present at the event even though Kitty had attended both Princes' weddings.

Kitty and Lewis's nuptials were held at the Villa Aldo Brandini, which is located in the Frascati area of Rome in Italy, and it provided a gorgeous venue for a luxurious party for the newly married couple and their guests. Photographs and videos from the event were uploaded onto social media and have left people speechless. The wedding was a three-day affair, and guests were treated to a variety of celebrations.

Lady Kitty Spencer was born December 28, 1990, and is the eldest of Earl Charles Spencer's children, the younger brother of Princess Diana. This makes her a first cousin of Princes William and Harry; She attended Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding back in 2011, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's in 2018. Even though she was born in Great Britain, Kitty's family moved to South Africa in 1995, escaping the British tabloid press in order to live a peaceful life away from the cameras.

In 2018, Kitty started dating Michael Lewis, a South African-born English businessman and fashion tycoon. The couple kept their dating private, most likely because they knew that their rather large age gap would attract attention and criticism. Lewis divorced his first wife in 1985 and has not been married since he was 59 years old at the time that the couple got together. As reported by The Times of Israel, Lewis proposed in 2019, and the couple wanted to marry in 2020. However, the coronavirus pandemic delayed their plans.

It looked like postponing the wedding to a more appropriate time might have paid off as the incredibly lavish wedding between Kitty and Lewis is certainly the talk of the town now. Hello! Magazine reported that the happy couple kicked off their wedding weekend with a pre-wedding party that catered a four-course meal on Friday evening. Guests were also treated to a luxury gift bag that was filled with an assortment of gifts. The wedding ceremony the next day took place at 6 PM.

The villa where the wedding took place was adorned with beautiful bouquets of pink and white flowers, both outside within stone vases as well as flowers adorning the steel balconies. However, the true gem of the wedding that has everyone talking is Kitty's incredible wedding dress.

The Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda gown was created for Kitty, who went straight to the designed when she got engaged. Tatler reported that Domenico Dolce said, "Once she had received the proposal, she told us she had thought of us immediately, and we were very happy of that!"

The dress took around six months to create, with many different seamstresses, painters, and artisans collaborating to make the breathtaking piece. The gown has an intricate floral lace design along with a high neck, long sleeves, and puffed shoulders that create an incredibly flattering silhouette. About creating the signature gown, the designers said, "They've been beautiful and emotional moments," and explained that the process resulted in "a dream made of fabrics."

Kitty did not wear the Spencer Tiara, which many royal fans believed she may borrow to follow in the footsteps of her mother, who wore it on her wedding day. Diana was seen wearing the Spencer Tiara often and also wore it for her own wedding day.

Harper's Bazaar reported that Kitty changed into a double organza hand-painted silk gown which had embellishments of flowers and crystals for the wedding dinner and changed a third time into a Dolce & Gabbana cocktail dress that was embroidered with silver and gold beads. The wedding ceremony was followed by an after-party as well as a party on Sunday that surely had the guests reveling with celebration.

Kitty certainly had a wedding to remember. Congratulations to the happy couple!
