Brenda Schmitz passed away two years ago, but her love for her husband did not just vanish. In one surprising turn of events, the local radio station received an anonymous letter. They immediately reached out to the widower, David Schmitz, and asked him to listen to their station. When they read the anonymous letter on the radio, he was so moved that he started to cry.
The radio station is based in Des Moines, Iowa. Each year, they have a wonderful tradition of granting Christmas wishes for their listeners. On this particular Christmas, they received a very unusual wish. The letter just asked for them to read the letter online and have David listen to it. The radio station called David to have him personally receive the wish.
David was completely surprised that someone wanted to grant him a wish. He immediately called the station to find out what the entire wish was about. They told him that he had to come down to the station to receive the wish in person. The radio station refused to tell him anything else about the wish.
Two years ago, Brenda passed away from ovarian cancer. Before she died, she wrote a letter to the radio station with a special wish. She secretly asked one of her friends to send the letter to the station after her husband remarried. While moving on was not easy for him, Brenda wanted him to find a new wife to love him and care for their four children.

Recently, Jayne Abraham married David. The family started to enjoy life again, and the four children loved their new mom. Brenda's friend heard about the remarriage and remembered her promise. She mailed the radio station the letter for David.
In the sweet letter, Brenda told David why she was writing the message. She had a deep wish that David and her children would have a new addition to the family. Brenda wrote about how much she loved him and then told him her three wishes.
Her first Christmas wish was to give Jayne an amazing day at the spa. With four children, she deserved it. Brenda wanted Jayne to get a relaxing day at the spa so that Jayne would know how appreciated she is.
Her second wish was for the new couple to take the entire family on a magical trip. She wanted them to have an amazing memory together as a family to replace the sad memories of her death.
Finally, Brenda wanted to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her at the Mercy Medical Center. They had made her last moments on earth memorable, so they deserved a night off. In their honor, she wanted an entire night filled with fun, food, and drinks.
As David listened to the letter, he started to cry. While he was surprised to get the letter, a part of him had expected something like this. He had loved Brenda for how kind and thoughtful she always was. Before she died, she had made him promise that he would find a new mother for their children.
Jayne was equally surprised by the letter. She had felt overshadowed by the memories of Brenda, and she had felt uncomfortable stepping into the role of step-mother. Now, she knew that Brenda wanted her to be a part of the family. The radio station granted all three wishes, so Jayne went with her new family to Disney World. Before the trip, Jayne was given her special day at the spa.
The vacation was the first time that the family traveled together. It was a chance to bond and spend quality time with each other. At the end of the trip, the family gathered together for a special memorial dinner in honor of Brenda.
