Rebel Wilson declared in January that 2020 was going to be her 'Year of Health.' While most of us make New Year's resolutions that fall to the wayside by February, Rebel has shown the world she is sticking to her pledge with a recent photo she uploaded to her social media showing her glowing transformation.
The 40-year-old actress is showcasing the incredible results of her healthy lifestyle choices. She posted the image on Instagram — hair in a ponytail, natural makeup on, and a bright yellow dress reflecting how radiant and relaxed she looks.
Earlier in the year, she declared in another social media post:
"I’ll be honest with you guys—with my 'Year of Health' mission I’m trying to get to 75kg's and career-wise am trying to get one of my movies into production before the end of the year!"

She had previously maintained her weight to finish the "Pitch Perfect" trilogy in which she played Fat Amy, and vowed that once they were over she would make some big changes. She spoke to the Express in June about her motivation and said:
“I literally feel as if I have to physically transform myself because for some reason, even though we’re in a very imaginative industry, it’s very difficult for people to imagine me as a serious actress and I feel that I physically have to show you that I am different.”
Being on set for the film "Cats" caused Rebel to lose eight pounds in four days. According to the Mirror, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Rebel explained the reasons for this being, "One, because there’s a lot of physicalities… but also, they heated up the set very high, to almost 100 [degrees] Fahrenheit, so that we could never cool down." This was so the professional dancers wouldn't cool their muscles down or they could get an injury and be unable to take part in the film.
Whilst that was the catalyst to her weight loss, a regime of hard work and a new diet are key factors to Rebel's success. “So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it!” she stated. And that is the Rebel attitude we know and love!
